Portland Street with Free Parking

Clean and tidy just really great location close to town centre great shops, nail bars and restaurants just round the corner from apartment parking was great . Overall really enjoyed it.

The property itself was great however some basics like salt and pepper would have been appreciated even some tea bags and sachets of sugars to gets started. plates, cups glasses and cutlery were definitely needed as there was only enough for 3 guests I would expect enough for 6 people. There were plenty of mirrors but a full length mirror somewhere would not go a miss.

First impressions were good. Decor was good. Beds were clean and tidy and it looked well presented.

On closer inspection, the filters on the cooker hood were dirty, the kitchen door would not stay open, a door wedge would have been useful. The apartment sleeps 3 but there were only 2 mugs - this was rectified quickly by the letting agent. However, if we were to have invited friends back for food there would not have been sufficient crockery or cutlery to entertain them. I attempted to empty the crumb tray on the toaster but I couldn't get it out - I noticed the tray was full of crumbs and lots of grease so I left it. There was no bedside table in the single bedroom or even a chair/stool to use. A small waste paper basket in each room would have been useful too. The bathroom cabinet is in the wrong place - it sticks out over the sink so you bang your head on it when you rinse your mouth after cleaning your teeth. A mirror would have been better and put the cabinet further along the wall. The hot tap on the toilet sink is loose. The plugs in the kitchen don't fit the plugholes so the water soaks away whilst you are washing up. The entrance hall is small so the bag of linen or whatever it was that was at the bottom of the stairs made entering and exiting more difficult. Whilst this all sounds negative, the apartment was actually quite nice and convenient for seeing The Minster etc. The photos on the website were obviously taken when the apartment had just been finished and were slightly misleading. These small changes would make a nice apartment be a great apartment

Location. Host immediately replaced a non working kettle which was essential and we were all grateful. Lounge area is lovely, shower nice and hot.

Instructions to turn right into Portland st, go down to gated car park were very confusing. An employee at the school helped us find it, but only after firstly misunderstanding the written instructions like we did. The crockery and cutlery were the absolute minimum which was a bit disappointing.

Location was excellent, apartment was quirky, hosts were friendly, responsive and helpful. Let us check in early and leave later.

WiFi isn’t great, TVs don’t work well , ( no aerial only through apps if wifi working) , limited kitchen utensils, sofas need a good clean and decor is tired. Needs some TLC.
