Ponte D Luis I Apartments

Beautiful apartment, clean, spacious, beautiful views.

Nothing disappointed us.

I loved the location and the view! I could come back to the apartment between all the things I did each day it was such at a main point you pass all the time. The apartment is nice clean and white. Great windows open so you can see the bridge and water so beautifully. I even felt relaxed to stay in without feeling I was missing anything because of the view.

The only thing I didn’t like was all the concrete stairs I had to go up around the side to reach the property. It would have been nicer to go in from the bottom of the property. The public stairs are often busy and tables set up near the sides of them made it difficult to get up sometimes. But it wasn’t that bad either because I would stay there again so that’s saying a lot.

The view and the location was awesome! Everything was within walking distance. The apartment was spacious. The host was very accommodating with check in time. Walking distance to many restaurants. It had portable air conditioning.

There were many stairs leading to the apartment. We then had to walk back down to get to the apartment. There were a few minor fixes such as the shower head was loose and was hard to manipulate. The shower door needed to be fixed because the water leaked outside of the shower and made a mess on the wood floor. It didn't have any shampoo, conditioner, or body wash (soap) in the shower. It had coffee maker, but no coffee grounds.

The property is in a convenient location, and easy to either get to Porto centre or Gaia. It has great views of the river, bridge and city landscape/lights.

The property isn't terribly clean and could do with some maintenance (needs a paint as looks marked and grubby). The house isn't brilliantly appointed, has some cooking utensils/cutlery, for instance there are wine glasses but no bottle opener.. There isnt sufficient seating for 4 really (a 2 seater sofa that's cheap and stained or dining chairs). The shower could do with a good clean and the toilet is a real squeeze (we are not big people)
