The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was wonderful and the proximity to get to the „city“ is ideal. Bus number 4 leaves right outside the hotel to the station. O
If I’m being picky, I didn’t much like the shower. You couldn’t turn the show head, so you kind of had to hold it. We were on the top floor with the beams. The bathroom is very modern and new!

Le Sauvage is a beautiful, authentic old building with a lot of character. The location in the lower Old Town of Fribourg is truly charming — very picturesque, with the church nearby and the bells ringing, which actually did not disturb us. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the staff were very kind and welcoming. We also appreciated the free public transport ticket for the city, and the bus stop is conveniently located right in front of the hotel.
The breakfast costs CHF 25 per person, which we found quite expensive. We decided not to take it, as there are many nice places in the city where you can have a very good breakfast for CHF 7–12.

The obvious star for Le Sauvage is the LOCATION - a tranquil, beautiful area located a short walk from things to do in all directions. However, Le Sauvage also has staff working there who seem to genuinely enjoy their work and meeting you the traveler from around the world - and they do all they can to make you feel welcome. In particular, their staff shines brightest in the kitchen, where there artist-like chef conjures up meals you will remember fondly as part of your trip!
Not much to dislike - the rooms are not the most luxurious in the world, but are very comfortable and clean and mostly quiet and great value for your money.
