Hotel du Faucon

Location and room size.

Poor design of selves around bed caused bump on the head. No receptionist for checkin until 14:15h. No bar or other common area facilities.

Good location in central pedestrianised area. Room included kitchenette with full-sized fridge (but oven not able to be used, as noted by other reviewers). Small elevator.

No air-conditioning in our room.

Very clean and seems to be renovated. The staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet had everything you could ask for. Right in the centre of the old city. Car had to be parked in the public parking garage close by.

Friendly staff, great location, clean studio - ideal for a small group or family.

The studio has a nice kitchen with and oven and stove, but lacks pots and pans.

The room had space enough for two persons and excellent equipped. The hotel is situated in the heart of Fribourg and very near to the railway station. Daily impeccable cleaning.

We had a very warm and friendly greeting on arrival, the staff were very cheerful and helpful. the room was spacious and clean and very quiet at night and the central location was excellent.

It would have been good if there were a few more drinks sachets, coffee tea and milk for example, but good to have a kettle in the room and a fridge.

Location was great. Perfect location when travelling with children and public transport. Lots of shops, restaurants, historical sites, and train station near by.

Door knobs were not properely working (both room door and bathroom). And the building has a weird oder. Breakfast was overpriced. Room was full of built-in closet, which was not nessesary. Kitchen at the room did not have any silverware or plates.

The room was an apartment, and well equipped in terms of kitchen and supplies. It was shaped very angularly, but there was plenty of space for 2 people. It was comfortable and we slept well in the beds. The location was central and on a shopping street, so there would be plenty to do and see here. The staff proactively made sure we knew how to get our key when we arrived after normal check-in hours.

We stayed here 1 night while travelling from NL to Champery for skiing. We arrived at 10pm and left at 7am. We never saw the staff, which was fine. But the fact that this hotel is on a shopping street meant we had to park in an underground, public parking lot where we could not safely leave our stuff. So, we carried everything (in 2 trips) through the parking facility and through the village to the hotel, because you cannot unload anywhere close to the hotel. The hotel would be great for some things, but for a 1 night stopover on a long drive, it's the wrong choice.

Situated in the old town. Heating came on morning and evening, very cold so early in the year.

The staffs were very kind and I felt at home. The room was very clean, full equipped, and also very quiet. The location is also perfect, which is easy to reach from the station, is in the center, and was also close to my destination.

The only point that I have to complain was the position of the plug-ins. I wished to have the plug-in one in the bathroom and one on the bedside.
