A lovely stay!

We loved this apartment. It is wonderful! If you like gardens, there is a lovely park around the corner, Morrab Gardens & Penlee Park music venue and gardens are up the road. Penlee house is a lovely gallery & museum with a cafe. There are stone circles nearby if that intrigues you. We climbed up to the castle & walked the footpath.

Beautiful flat in amazing location

The location is amazing - overlooking the Atlantic, across the road from the promenade, close to Penzance town, close to bus and train station, completely perfect for us. The flat is spacious, airy, clean and well stocked with most things you could need for a good break from home. The bedrooms are enormous and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom has both bath and separate shower. The outside space (a rarity for Penzance) is wonderful, we especially liked it at dusk, watching the boats come and go to Newlyn. No parking with the accommodation, but free parking is easy to find if you put in a smidge of effort. Highly recommended!

Fabulous views, fabulous apartment

The location is right on The Promenade. A short walk to Penzance and a short walk to Newlyn. The directions to the property were spot on. We had a couple of minor issues when we arrived and the host sorted those out within the hour- great service. Parking is available out the front of the property. Only once did we need to park around the block. The view from the verandah or the lounge room is over the Atlantic Ocean. The apartment is quiet and well appointed. The twin beds were pushed together to make a king bed which was very comfortable. The apartment had good heating. Separate shower was great. Everything was clean and well organised. The new lounge was very comfortable. The kitchen has all the essentials. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the walk into the apartment is a little dingy but that does not reflect the interior of the apartment. So not really an issue

Dissappointing

I liked the cleanliness of the bedrooms and the comfortable furniture in the lounge area. The view was nice.

When I arrived all the crockery, cutlery, glasses etc were dirty, greasy, food stains and generally grubby in the kitchen. I contacted the owner who came out and washed and dried it all so I felt it was clean enough for me to use. That was ok but I couldn’t relax until this was all done. He left a small box of celebrations as an apology a couple of days later. The next issue with the heating, there is no curtains or blinds at the doors/windows out onto the balcony. It was cold and very windy so it became draughty . it was set on the timer. The radiator in the kitchen area wasn’t working at all, they offered to come and look at it but I just wanted to relax and have peace and quiet. I was told that the heating controller is left hidden so people don’t leave the heating on all the time. This really wasn’t acceptable to me so I had to ask again and was then told where to find the heating controller so I could press the boost button for an extra hour each time. Not ideal when you go out then come back and it’s cold you have to wait for the flat to heat up. One evening I sat out on the balcony with a drink but didn’t stay long, you do get all the smells of the chip shop when sitting on the balcony and the car park next door is busy and noisy and the road is noisy. I had a bath, got out, let the water out and after getting dressed there was a large puddle on the bathroom floor. I tried phoning the owners but they weren’t available. I have no idea where the leak was coming from, I managed to clean up most of it with the mop and bucket and I asked for some old towels to be dropped off so I could finish cleaning up which they did. The entrance to the flat is abit grim and the steps into the front door are quite high. Over all the flat is nice but the kitchen and bathroom need completely renewing. The road is noisy and there is a lot going on with people coming and going to the car park/launderette and amusements next door.

Loved our stay and would definitely recommend and stay again.

We liked everything about Atlantic View, the location and view were great. It was quiet (visited November) handy for exploring the local area. The fish and chip shop underneath is fantastic.

The free on street parking outside could be an issue in the busier months. We only had one instance where we couldn’t get parked so went for a drive around for 20 mins, so not the end of the world, but I was surprised how busy it got in November.

The location was excellent; uninterrupted views out to sea, local amenities and restaurants close by, easy to park close to the apartment. The directions we received prior to our arrival were very clear, making it easy to find. There were no problems accessing the key. We also knew exactly who to contact and how to contact them should any problems arise. We found the apartment exceptionally clean.

I really couldn’t say there was anything we didn’t like. Even the wet weather couldn’t put us off!

We had a very pleasant week- fresh flowers were lovely.

The entrance from the first door to the second door was not a pleasant welcome. Floor dirty and greasy (slippery when raining) stairs and up to and entrance to flat grubby. You must pay attention to this - not good. Once inside very clean and welcoming. For your info - toilet seat needs attention - there is also a drains smell in the bathroom.

wunderbare Weihnachten am Meer

Der Blick auf den Atlantik vom Esstisch und Sitzplatz aus ist wunderbar. Es war weihnachtlich dekoriert (wir hatten sogar einen echten Weihnachtsbaum) und es gab liebevolle Willkommensgeschenke. Die Kinder liebten den Fish and Chips Laden unterhalb mit qualitativ gutem Essen. Küche ist gut ausgestattet und alles sehr hübsch dekoriert.

WLAN ist sehr schwach. Im Wohnzimmer kann man nicht komplett verdunkeln.
