Cute cottage close to everything in Brodick. The free parking is helpful and unit had everything for a nice vacation.

Loved the location to beach and shops in Brodick.

I didn’t love that the bathroom is on the main floor and bedrooms are up one level.

Wished I’d booked for longer than three nights !

Comfortable , cosy and well equipped and maintained cottage in a superb central location . It quickly felt like a home from home . The thoughtful host makes it easy to travel light as toiletries, waging up liquid , coffee etc is all provided , if required.

I struggled to reach the isolation cord for the shower - thankfully my tall brother was on hand to assist 😀

Comfortable, well-appointed house, in a convenient position. The sit-ootery is an excellent addition. You could sit out even when the weather was changeable.

The bannister was a wee bit shoogly - needs extra brackets. No potato masher!!

Easy access. House had all items for kitchen use, e.g Wash up liquid and tablets, washing machine pellets, foil, cling film and tea towels. Tea, coffee and pods, sugar and various store foods. Thank you. Much appreciated. Outdoor terraces much used including washing line. Location ideal for ferry, commodities, beach, walks and all island visits.

Prefer 2 keys, Later checkout than 10. More cereal bowls to allow dishwashing of same.

2nd Visit to Ardgowan cottage

Very clean, great facilities. Everything we needed to make for a great stay. Brilliant covered decked area at the back which can be enclosed to keep the dogs secure. Very cosy cottage located in a great position close to the shops, pub and beach. Booked again for next year👍🏻👍🏻

Property needs updating ie electrics. Fridge not working but owner talked us through problem. This happened twice.

Relaxing break at the cottage

A great little cottage in the heart of Brodick, very close to the main attractions yet quiet and feels like being at home. There is everything you'd possibly need during the stay. We had a comfortable stay for 2 adults and a 2 year old.

Wonderful property and very helpful host

The property was delightful. Comfortable and very clean with a very convenient location. The kitchen was large and well equipped. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The host was extremely helpful, and even offered to give us a lift from Glasgow to the ferry when trains were down for several days from a large storm. Overall it was an excellent experience with an excellent host.

Great short stay on a beautiful island and lovely cottage.

Location was excellent for all amenities, restaurants, shops, sightseeing, etc. especially the ferry. The cottage had everything you could need for a short stay.

The sofa was a bit low and not the most comfortable. They did give me a chair with handles but this did get uncomfortable after a while. There was no guidance on what went into recycle bin as different councils accept different things. TV signal was poor without using my step daughter's phone. Without her we would have been lost.

Covered decking allowed outdoor living even with the showers, with ample seating there provided. Kitchen was very well equipped.

Ground floor bathroom has the only wash hand basin, toilet and shower for property. Stairs to bedrooms are quite steep.

Perfect cottage for an island escape

Fantastic cottage with everything we needed. Like a home away from home. Loved how the decking space was undercover from the elements as well as being able to sit out at front of house too to catch the evening sun! Shame the weather wasn't as reliable. Hosts were super helpful too and quick at responding to our messages.

Disappointed the cottage did not meet our expectations

Location close to amenities and the sea front

Toilet/Shower room was down steep stairs whilst bedrooms were upstairs. There was no clear indication that this was the case and as an 81year old I would not have booked it. We liked the decking but photos did not show how enclosed it was by buildings. TV reception was such that picture and sound kept being lost. Unfortunately building work was in progress nearby so that sitting on the decking in the daytime wasn't pleasant. Disappointed that the claim of a "mountain view" suggested a more open outlook, whereas in effect there was a glimpse of Goatfell only from the second bedroom.

The location was fantastic, and the cottage was ideal for our needs, loved the kitchen and the bed was mega comfy, slept really well 😊

The shower was a bit tight for space and the sofabed in the living room was a bit uncomfy, but the cushions were a bonus 😉
