Great location with lovely views.
Not a lot, probably a little bit dated.

Lodge was really nice

Great location for exploring the area. The Lodge cabin was like home from home. Cosy and warm. With almost everything you would need for a home from home trip
I missed my bed at home. So the bed was a bit squashed and not as comfy so 1 of us had to take one of the little single beds in the other room.

If you looking for a break 'in the country' then I'd highly recommend this place. It feels intimate - you are not surrounded by a valley of cabins - and you have fantastic 360 views. The location is great for multiple reasons. If you looking for a break with lovely walks and just want to stay local then it delivers everything you want. If you are the type that likes to explore a little further and requires a base where the drive time between sites is not long (like us) it also a great place to pick.
The cabin that we had was spotless and had every modern facility that one comes to expect when staying at property these days.
The hosts are absolutely lovely and want to make sure that you have the best stay possible. They came round on the first night to check that we were satisfied. On a personal note, I asked if my son could feed the sheep while we stayed there. They set it up for us and my son had a wonderful experience. We have been home a week and my six year old son still talks about it and wants to return.

The whole holiday experience was first class. The owners Ian and Kay couldn't have been nicer. Nothing was to much trouble for them. The lodge was clean and comfortable. The welcome pack was first class. I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back. Garry and Paula.
There was nothing i didn't like.

We loved the location of the lodge, the views all the way to Northern Ireland, loved the spacious living room, the kitchen that had everything we needed and the waterpressure in the shower. Ian and Kay were very welcoming. Loved the eggs and marmalades, too. We walked along the coast path all the way to Portpatrick for lunch and back. Quick dip in the bay. Perfect!
The bed was too small for us both (one of us is really tall). Fortunately there was another bed in the twin room.

The location was really pretty, a lodge on a lovely farm with a very pretty view of the sea and fields. Kay was really lovely, popping by to say hello, ensuring you had everything you needed. Nothing was too much trouble. The little honesty box was a lovely touch, selling homemade jams, chutney, and free-range eggs 🥚
It could be a little noisy. It's a farm at the end of the day, so the sound of the sheep would wake us quite early and sometimes the other residents were up and about really early around 6am shutting car doors and lodge doors which woke us. Nothing that would put us off returning, though.

The lodges are in a beautiful location, the hosts were friendly, very helpful and easy to contact if you have any queries or issues. The local produce and home made treats in the welcome pack were very much enjoyed! We stayed back in 2022 and very much enjoyed our return to the farm.
The pipes for the shower that go through one of the bedside wardrobes could do with some kind of boxing over them. Other than that there were no issues.

We had a wonderful time here.
We loved learning about the different types of sheep and especially meeting some of the lambs.
Everyone we met was very welcoming and friendly and we visited several great beaches and castles in the local area.
The accommodation had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable.
Thank you for a lovely holiday.
Some cooking oil would be helpful. We travelled a long way so didn't want oil spilling in the car.

Just a few little things bathroom door kept sticking and kitchen tap had a small leak. No impact on out stay however.

We are relatively new dog owners so having to source decent places that accepts dogs is quite difficult. Really impressed with the standard of our accommodation. Quiet location, clean, comfortable, close to Portpatrick and within driving distance for site seeing across the surrounding area. Hosts were close to hand if needs be.
Nothing. If l had to say something it would be the weather, but that's Scotland for you, lol, still it didn't stop us getting out and about every day.
