My only negative view is the stoney lane leading up to the house was very bumpy due to a lot of trucks up and down it. I have a low profile car and had to be careful driving up and down the stoney path to the house.

This is a lovely detached cottage in a quiet rural location. It's immaculately clean and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen and utility room. Communications with the owner were fantastic and we found the information and advice they provided after booking very helpful and clear. We were a group of four visiting the area to undertake some geological fieldwork, and this was the ideal base for us. Cairnhill certainly has all the facilities you'd need for a wonderful short break or longer holiday in the glorious Ayrshire countryside, and the stunning coastline is just a short drive away.
