Owners are amazing very helpful . We loved the dog run and our Mirrin made a pal Corrie .
Location was peaceful/ beautiful. Surprisingly there was fireworks near by at midnight.
Caravan is basic but just fine for us with the dog .
Basics , like washing up liquid, t towels , salt n pepper , toilet paper at hand .
We both ended up sleeping in single beds . The small double was so uncomfortable, I have ended up with sore back .
The couches in sitting room are uncomfortable too .
It was very cold when we went and the heating went off as set on timer , during the night it was very cold.

Hosts Ian and Kay were so helpful and welcoming
Beautiful countryside and local villages
Cabin was cosy and warm with almost everything you need to have a comfortable stay
Bed was a small double so not a very comfortable sleep for the 2 of us.
There is nothing provided in the way of soap, shampoo, body wash or kitchen basics such as salt, pepper, teabags etc which would have been helpful as we’ve been travelling for several weeks.
We had a rear cabin so didn’t have a great view of the water

Central heating on timer ( generously so)so cosy on arrival early evening.
Beds exceptionally comfortable- might buy that mattress myself when renewing!)
Chalet was clean and comfortable. Loved the charged up torch!
Lovely and quiet,beautiful views.
Kay and Ian very friendly and welcoming.
Having a dog area so super as Bilbo could run and sniff off the lead.
Tbh having to pay £25 for my dog as I think £101 a night more than enough on a rural site? But other than that it is a lovely place to stay.
Could be better marked up but good instructions sent helped 🙂

The location is stunning, lovely rolling hills and a view over the sea.
Portpatrick is a very nice old fishing village, great place to eat and drink.
Visits to Wigtown, Isle of Whithorn. Logan Botanical Gardens and the coast around Port William all well worth doing.

Very cosy lodge looking out to beautiful views of the countryside & the Irish Sea. Very enjoyable stay so peaceful and relaxing. The owners are the nicest people I’ve met in Scotland very welcoming, let my daughter feed the lambs & made us some beautiful tasty jams & bread. We will definitely be back again soon.

Everything . In particular, the hosts, Ian and Kay, are incredibly accommodating and make themselves readily available for all your needs. No mean feat, considering they're running a farm ( in lambing season no less ) and working pretty much 24/7.
Also, their farm produce is fresh and great quality. Well worth buying for a change from supermarket stuff and it helps to support Ian and Kay.
Nothing . Worth considering, it's a few miles out of town so it would be difficult to manage without a car.

SELF CATERED. QUIET LOCATION. CLEAN, HAD EVERYTHING IN THE KITCHEN. ITS VERY RURAL SO IDEAL FOR WALKING, NEAREST TOWN IS PORTPATRICK. IDEAL FOR SOMEBODY HIDING AWAY READING A BOOK.
ITS NOT REALLY AN APARTMENT, ITS A WOODEN CARAVAN, INSULATED LIKE A CARAVAN, SIZE OF A CARAVAN, ROOMS ARE BASIC BUT CLEAN, ITS IN THE MIDDLE OF NO-WHERE, MY FAULT I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED AT ITS LOCATION, TOWING A BOAT UP THE LANES WAS A TRAUMA. I DO BELIEVE IT TO BE OVERPRICED FOR WHAT IT WAS.

Location was excellent. Nice walk to beach. Near enough everything we wanted to visit. Quiet location. Nice lodge, big enough for two adults and child. Suited us perfectly.
Could have been a bit cleaner. Boiler had an issue, which was sorted quickly by owner, kept losing pressure but after we were shown we could fix it. Drains were very slow to drain water but not a big issue.

Loved the location and layout. It's ideal if you're looking for something away from noise and mayhem. There is a beautiful secluded, rugged beach a 10 min walk away and the scenery is amazing. We were there in the Autumn months so were treated to high crashing waves off the rocks, it was an amazing sight. Our 7 year old loved all the opportunities to climb over rocks and hunt through rock pools.
The owners were amazing and were available within minutes for any queries.
The lodge was warm, comfortable and clean (loved the pressure in the shower!).
Portpatrick is a short drive away and is a great wee town (check out Smugglers Cove, an amazing shop selling loads of random stuff).
Would definitely go again, will try the spring/summer months next time to see all the lambs.
There was nothing I didn't like, except maybe leaving. I would plan better next time and make sure we take enough food with us, the local shops in Portpatrick aren't huge, but there are supermarkets in Stranraer on the way there.

Location was beautiful both at the farm and Portpatrick itself - perfect for anyone wanting a peaceful stay and plentiful countryside. Ian was an excellent host - very friendly and approachable and went the extra mile to make sure everything was such that we'd have a good stay. Coming from a more built up area, the free parking in Portpatrick felt almost unreal!
Weather wasn't always kind to us but that can happen anywhere! However, started a couple of days at the lodge rainy and blustery but went into Portpatrick and the wind was straight away much calmer (right down to a gentle sea breeze) and when the sun came out there it was so pretty - perfect place for a seafront coffee.

The accommodation was of an exceptional standard and the atmosphere matched the surroundings perfectly. With the beach only a mere 10 minutes away and a farm on your doorstep, this stay was everything we could ask for. The owner was also welcoming and very kind in all cases. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a relaxing farm stay!

Lovely location, beautiful views of surrounding countryside and lovely walk to the nearest beach and along the clifftop to Portpatrick. Nice area for cycling also.
Some cushions for the outside chairs would have been nice!
