Villena Plaza by Wonderful Italy

Location was amazing.

Simple & comfortable for after long days out. Communal kitchen was a bonus.

Tastefull aestetics. Perfect location. Good kitchen facilities. Sweet cleaning lady.

No key in the safe. Plumbing challenges typical of Sicily. Some old mosquitoes should be cleaned off the walls. The lightswitch panel in the bathroom is hanging a bit loose from the wall.

Location is great. If you like to walk, many places of interest are within walking distance. Room was nice but the mini fridge switch off and ac when you take the card out from the slot on the wall. It was not too hot so I hardly used the ac. The bed of a good size and comfortable. I generally liked it and loved having the balcony. You’re central so plenty places to eat breakfast and dinner.

It was not very clean, some things needs to be refreshed/ renovated/ fixed. The smell from the drain on my first night was so bad I had to hold my breath when showering. Got better through the stay but never gone so had to keep the door from the bathroom closed. Only communication was via automated system. Be prepared to climb stairs to get to the top floor- I did not care but for someone who is a bit less able maybe a problem. You have to take your own rubbish out - weird as the collection for recycling is at different days of the week.

The room was quite nice, we even had a mini fridge, although It only worked when we were in the room (since you need to have the keycard in the reader to have electricity).

The staff felt disconnected and wasn't exactly helpful. On our first day, the person giving us the key mentioned they had a shuttle service to the airport. Yet when we tried contacting them about it on WhatsApp, they said such a service was not available. When confronted about the fact that in their listing it mentions that service, they became silent and never responded. On the last day, we asked if someone would come get the keycard, or if we should leave it in the room, but they didn't respond.
