Remote, cosy and comfortable

Quiet, remote, private, well equipped, beautiful cottage with all the amenities one might need and absolutely stunning views. It's a great place to come back and recover after spending the day exploring Yorkshire's surrounding areas as its convenient location provides an opportunity to drive further to different sites. We also loved that the garden was completely enclosed, so our dog was able to play without any worries. We would definitely love to come back in the future and have already recommended this place to our friends and colleagues.

A place in countryside .

A beautiful position with outstanding views. The cottage is the best equipped rental that we have stayed in. The hosts are attentive to all needs and aided us with a car problem. It felt like staying with family.

Peaceful stay in Pickhill

Everything was great. The location is perfect, quiet, good walking around and close to Thirsk. The accomodation was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities you need. Well equipped kitchen, cleaning products, washing machine and dryer. Caters for those with pets as well. Nice outdoor seating area with lovely views. Easy parking as well. WIFI and TV in the comfortable lounge area. Highly recommend for a couple. Also sofa bed for use if needed

The cottage is beautiful and has all the facilities required for a peaceful, relaxing stay. The view across the fields is wonderful. We have travelled quite widely but this is one of the nicest, cleanest and peaceful properties that we have stayed in. Thank you Margaret and Ron.

Superb cottage in a very peaceful location

This is up there with the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in, Everything you need for your stay has been thought of. We loved the cakes wating for us on our arrival and the milk was a nice touch too. The hosts, Margaret & Ron were lovely and it was nice to have a chat with them. The cottage is set on the edge of a working farm and surrounded by fields and nature with plenty of birds attending the bird feeders! Unfortunately we weren't blessed with the best of weather but we did manage to have breakfast and an evening takeaway from the local pub outside under the new pergola looking out on the corn field with Sutton Bank in the distance. So peaceful!

A good base from which to explore North Yorkshire

It was a good location from where to explore the region, which has many attractive places to visit. There is a big Tesco's not far away. The outside space was great because we had generally good weather

Fabulous cottage

Where do I start? It was fabulous, lovely location on a working farm, located in a lovely little village. We stayed for 10 nights and didn't want for anything, it was virtually a home from home. Margaret and Ron have a fantastic place and are lovely hosts, so good we will be booking again for next year.

Dog friendly cottage

Lovely little brick cottage on a quiet farm with everything you need including an Amazon Firestick for nights in. Enclosed garden. Nice and peaceful..

I liked the fact the garden was enclosed (approx. 1 meter fencing/wall), personally I feel a higher fence would have made me more relaxed with the dogs.

Spotlessly clean, everything you need, fabulous hosts who were friendly, helpful & welcoming. I was able to easily explore Western side of North Yorkshire Moors National Park. WiFi and amazon firestick - great for a wet afternoon.

Absolutely a lovely cottage, beautiful location so peaceful but a lot to do nearby ,was very clean plenty of space for us as a couple, nice garden friendly hosts with a card and Victoria sponge cake waiting for us on arrival, as it was our anniversary,
