Beautiful home but poor welcome.
Beautiful house furnished in traditional French style with some antique furniture. Very comfortable with lovely big bedrooms. Close to Nature Reserves of the Camargue and convenient for visiting Arles.
There were absolutely no basic toiletries, no soap, not even washing up liquid or tea towel. We had to pre-order the bed linen and towels and pay extra for them, having to make our own beds. Not even bottles of water or tea or coffee were provided. This involved a trip to Arles as soon as we arrived in order to buy basics. We had hoped to do the Manade's tour of the ranch to see the white horses and cattle and enjoy a meal cooked by them, as advertised, but were told this wasn't an option. We saw no animals at all during our stay and learnt nothing of the farming life there. No local restaurants were open, so I would advise self-catering or go into Arles. There is a little shop and bakery 6km down the road but we had to discover this for ourselves. We left a day early!
