Gorgeous setting, strategic position

The location is gorgeous, completely surrounded by the nature of the Camargue plains and close to many of the best sights in the area. The swimming pool is small but perfect to cool off after a hot day visiting the surroundings. Breakfast was good and our host provided a gluten free option. Our host also organized an experience on horse-back for us that was really very nice and invited us to a rodeo-like event on the evening of our arrival. We only stayed two nights and I think one would need a little more time to really explore this region.

My only suggestion would be to put mosquito nettings on the window. The apartment is fairly small and we were 3 people, it would have been nice to change the air sometimes, but you really can't open the windows if you don't have netting on them.

Hidden Gem in Camargue

We loved the serene, sunlit view of the green and horses at Mas Constantin whilst having breakfast, how pristine and comfortable the rooms were, and most of all the warm hospitality from Frederic and the beautiful Camargue region. The manade that Frederic was a part of made it an unforgettable experience for the whole family!

Nothing to dislike at all. If you’re sensitive to mosquitoes, just be prepared with bug spray.

It was a really nice home for our stay.

The location is very beaufitful. The owner has two very nice dogs and horses which you can visit.

It was close to the streets, so if you lay at the pool it could be a little distracting. But fortunately there were not many cars driving the road.

Welcoming hosts and the Camargue off the beaten track

If you are looking for the real Camargue, take a vacation here. Located away from the hustle and bustle of the western Camargue, around Mas Constantin you will find what the Camargue is all about. Rice fields, Etangs, farms and sea salt production. Frédéric and his wife are warm hosts with many tips that let you discover the real Camargue off the beaten path. You can feel that they have their feet on the ground in the many details of Mas Constantin. In the exterior and interior some furniture made by themselves. On the walls hang the dates for the next bullfights in the nearby Salin de Giraud. On request, both prepare a delicious breakfast, or organize everything from bicycles to a visit to a manade, which is part of a visit to the Camargue. If you want to go to the beach, you can reach Piemanson beach in 12 minutes. On the way you can explore the original Salin of the Giraud and the sea salt production located there.

Beware that Room 4 Chaleureux et Lumineux is only accessible via a steep stair. No problem for the young and middle aged traveler but if you are having difficulties with walking, you better opt for the other rooms.

Belle semaine en Camargue

L'accueil très chaleureux de Frédéric et Agnès autour d'un apéritif. Les conseils avisés de Frédéric pour visiter la Camargue et sa disponibilité pour nous aider dans nos sorties : la manade, la ballade à cheval, une superbe et très longue sortie à vélo, Arles, Aigues-Mortes, Les Baux de Provence, les étangs et les flamants roses...

Hôtes très accueillants

Les hôtes sont très accueillants, disponibles, prévenants et de bon conseil pour les sorties et visites. Les échanges ont été très agréables. La petite piscine permet de se rafraîchir et la plage n'est pas très loin en voiture. Le gîte est bien situé pour explorer la partie sauvage de la Camargue (marais du Vigueirat) et à 1/2 heure d'Arles. La soirée à la manade proposée par les hôtes est à ne pas manquer. Les lits sont confortables, la salle de bain spacieuse et la clim très appréciable.

Les moustiques ne permettent pas de profiter de l'espace extérieur le soir. Mais c'est normal en Camargue!

Un beau lieu pour découvrir Arles et la Camargue. Gîte confortable et un beau cadre typique. Les hôtes sont charmants et Frédéric nous a donné tous les conseils utiles pour découvrir ce territoire si singulier. Petit déjeuner impeccable, joli jardin et coin piscine pour se reposer et se rafraîchir. Bref parfait

Wir werden von diesem Aufenthalt sehr schöne Erinnerungen haben!

Die Lage hat mir besonders gefallen: wir waren mit dem Auto schnell am Strand. Der Mas de Constantin ist durch seine Lage ideal, um sich zu erholen, und dennoch kann man innerhalb 40 minuten vieles sehen und erleben. Fred, ein sehr zuverlässlicher Gastgeber hat uns tolle Insider Tips gegeben. Danke dafür!

Im Badezimmer sind ein Paar Reparaturen notwendig: Der Abfluss in der Dusche läuft zum Beispiel nicht sehr gut. Die Pumpe der Toilette ist laut auch wenn man sie nicht benutzt. Die Küchenausstattung ist für jemanden, der gerne kocht, sehr rudimentär.

Séjour Au top!

Nous avons passés de très bonne vacances en famille au mas Constantin. Le propriétaire est très accueillant et donne de bon conseils sur les visites qui peut-être réaliser dans les alentours du mas. Au mas nous avons pu nous détendre autour de la piscine et de profiter des chevaux.

Der Gastgeber bräuchte eine grosse Portion mehr Anstand und Diplomatie. Er ging überhaupt nicht auf unsere Anliegen ein und gab uns die Schuld für nicht funktionierende Airconditioning oder fehlendes WC-Papier. Wir fühlten uns als Gäste nicht willkommen.
