Nice relaxing stay!

Nice relaxing stay!

We had a very relaxing stay over six nights. The house is very well situated, in a small village just a ten minute drive from Arles and close to the auto-route (tollway) as well as within easy drive to regional touristic highlights such as Avignon, Luberon villages, and Les Baux; groceries, boulangeries, etc. are within a short drive - or even walk. The house has a nice rustic farmhouse vibe as does the patio and surrounding yard - but with all the modern amenities. It was a little cold for it in mid-March, but we did use the pool once and even used the fireplace one night. Although the Sucs live next door, they were very discrete so it always felt very private, but it was nice to have them nearby for questions etc. Our five-year-old son especially appreciated the "tour" of the Provencal sky the one night, in particular the blinking satellite. Merci, and we look forward to coming back!

"We had a great time at Mas Ballot, The villa provided for all our needs plus many more that were happily surprised to discover. The house is very homey and has a lot of character. We particularly enjoyed the highly child/baby orientation such as extra baby beds and chairs, pool equipment , cards, board games, ping pong etc. Dany and Claude are very nice people, they have mastered the fine art of being extremely helpful on one hand and maintain your privacy on the other. In every corner of the house you can feel they care. The Pool, The Internet WIFI, kitchen and garden were excellent. We had a perfect vacation! and we highly recommend it."

"We stayed at Mas Ballot for 4 weeks. During that time our excellent hosts Dany and Claude answered all of our questions and took care of all of our needs. They even installed a brand new dishwasher for us. The internet access was flawless. We could either use the computer in the house or connect our two laptop computers to their internet lines. Wifi was available for use in the patio area. The lands surround Mas Ballot provided excellent bike riding and sight-seeing opportunities."

"This well-equipped facility is half of a well-maintained farmhouse. The owners were very pleasant and helpful, and they spoke English. The house was equipped as advertised. One very welcome amenity was a PC with broadband internet connection. The rural location is quiet, yet less than a kilometer from the town, with three bakeries, a small store, and a post office. Arles and other sites in that part of Provence were easy to access with a car, and bus service is available into Arles. We had a private, gated entrance with ample parking space for our rental car. At times the house was chilly, but each room has an electric heater to help take away the chill. One slight negative: the cupboards and closets had some musty smell at first, probably due to the house not being rented immediately before our rental. This disappeared after things were opened and the house was warmed-up."

"Mas Ballot is a wonderful vacation house. It is in a small, quiet town not far from Arles and provides the perfect rest after a day of sightseeing. THe house is clean with a very well equipped kitchen, a full laundry, and two good bathrooms. The sleeping and living areas are beautifully furnished and a pleasure to relax in. The pool is maintained very well by the owners and an important plus to renting this house. We used it everyday. There is an upstairs balcony that provides a wide, beautiful look at the night sky. We shared a bottle of wine every night on that balcony. Mas Ballot is within very close driving distance to Arles but also within easy distance of other towns worth visiting such as St.-Remy, Fontvielle, St. Marie de la Mer, Avignon, St. Martin de Crau, Aix, and others. Best of all, the owners are fine people: considerate and courteous. They do not intrude but do try to make your stay comfortable. If you need assistance they are happy to provide it."

Excellent séjour au calme

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Mas Ballot à l'occasion de la fin de l'année que nous avons passé en famille et au calme. Les possibilités de promenade dans les environs sont très nombreuses et nous recommandons les promenades à poney ou à cheval avec Marion à l'écurie du Rossolys! La maison est grande, bien équipée, très bien chauffée et confortable. C'est une maison familiale très agréable et chaleureuse comme ses propriétaires. Nous avons été très bien accueillis et nous espérons avoir la chance de revenir bientôt!

Der perfekte Individualurlaub

Wer das Außergewöhnliche liebt, ist hier genau richtig. Das Äußere des Anwesens wirkt im ersten Moment zwar etwas verwildert, aber sobald man Dany und Claude kennenlernt und das Haus betritt, weiß man, dass man die richtige Wahl getroffen hat und der Urlaub kann beginnen... Der überdachte, solarbeheizte Pool hatte dank des meist guten Wetters eine nahezu konstante Temperatur von 26°C, wir haben ihn fast jeden Tag genutzt. Für Garten- und Naturliebhaber sind die ungewöhnlichen Pflanzen (z. B. Kaki- und Feigenbäume) und Tiere (Eidechsen, Geckos, Wildvögel) interessant. Es gibt viel zu sehen und zu entdecken, auch in der Umgebung (das Natur-paradies Camargue, romantische Dörfer in der Provence und natürlich das Mittelmeer). Wir können dieses Haus sehr empfehlen und werden bestimmt wieder einmal hierher kommen. Iris und Wolfgang Rink

"La maison est très bien située (proche de Arles). Elle est bien équipée mais un peu sombre si l''on doit rester à l''intérieur (cas du week-end de l''Ascension 2011). Les propriétaires veillent au bien-être de leurs locataires (prêts des vélos, mise à disposition de la piscine..). Un seul point de vigilance : les prix sont basés sur une occupation par 6 personnes : les prix grimpent vite en cas d''occupants supplémentaires (nous étions 10)"
