Great location for a quiet break.

Enough space for 6 adults and 2 dogs.

Kitchen utensils require updating as knives very unusable as we ended up using a Swiss Army knife to cut vegetables, we needed more tableware as not enough for 6 people especially if renting out over a Xmas period and mattress in 3rd bedroom was not comfy we ended up buying a bed topper. It’s a shame no info was given during the booking of the great use of the squash court on site. The folder of info in the cottage could’ve done with more info!

Great place but beds, baths and floorboards need updating.

Marketed as a 3 bed and 3 bath so assumed each room would have its own bathroom. It’s actually a 2 bathroom with a downstairs toilet in the utility room. The second bathroom is shower over bath which is under the eaves so anyone over 4 feet tall can’t use it. Also the beds in the twin room were extremely creaky. You can’t move an inch without waking up anyone else in that room or the next. The same noisy problem with the floorboards. If you go to the loo in the middle of the night you wake the whole house.

Peaceful, clean and great location.

It is so quiet and peaceful. Lovely field next to us so our dog can have a great time running and playing. We even saw beautiful peacocks standing on the roof our car. It is just wonderful.

The WiFi is a little weak but it actually allowed us to spend more time with families taking and playing board games instead of watching phones all the time.

Excellent property

We booked this very last minute following issues at our other accomodation. Rachel, the host, could not have been any more accommodating when we phoned her on a Friday evening in a panic! The Granary had a large living space downstairs which met our needs perfectl,y but would also be suitable be groups too. The bedrooms were well presented and provided comfortable accomodation for us all. Excellent open space outside with a private garden, patio and suitable outdoor furniture. Parking was good too :) We would book again :)

Exceptional

Spacious and comfortable property, perfect for our 5 night stay in the area where we were visiting a poorly relative in Hospital. Loved the huge sofa and the woodburner - lovely to come back to after a long day. Owner was very accommodating when I requested to stay a bit longer and also when we ran out of firewood. Very well equipped kitchen, just wish we had been around a bit more to make the best use of it. Enclosed garden was ideal for our dog. We stayed as a family of 3 with 1 dog, but the property would easily accommodate 8 people. 3 toilets, 2 showers - always a bonus! Would love to return in happier times.

The house is wonderful and very spacious. It has everything you need and is extremely comfy. The host was very helpful. We would love to stay again.

A great place for a family holiday.

The location is great. The house is lovely and has all you need for a large group. There is plenty of parking too.

The twin beds are not great for adults. They are very creaky, so you wake yourself up when you turn over. If you are tall, you will not be able to sit at the dining table due to the decorative skirting under the table top.

Great accommodation in a great location!

Easy communication with owner. Great location for exploring Abergavenny and Black Mountains. Comfortable and clean house and great to have a dog secure garden. After a long day mountain biking or climbing mountains the sofa was the most comfortable to relax in. The 4 of us had plenty of room to all spread out. A big plus also to have access to Netflix and Prime so we could keep watching our series!

The house was very well equipped , comfortable and welcoming. Everything was clean. The booking was very easy and instructions to get to the house easy to follow. The location was perfect for tourism in the area.

Great location

Keys left on the kitchen table but no welcome note It would have been nice to have a note explaining how to use the cooker and heating Plus letting us know where we could walk the dog on a morning We don’t use the cooking facility’s normally but as we had a lot of bacon and eggs left at home I decided to bring them Trying to work the touch control hob was a nightmare especially as they didn’t all work And the oven caused the fire alarm to go off after only 5 minutes No smoke or burning to cause it to go off So I decided to have boiled eggs instead but then realised no egg cups The lounge chair was disgusting as it was like an old chair in a pub that had gone black with drinks spilled on it The log burner hadn’t been cleaned out ready for the next person Then you go up to the bedroom up the very creaky floor and squeaky door The bed was fine and very comfortable The en-suite door would only open a third as the laminate floor had risen stopping the door opening properly The shower kept going from boiling to cold and it wasn’t that I could not work it properly as we have the same shower in our home Some of the woodworkers black and also the shower cubicle I had a bath in the main bathroom and that was ok but the shower looked very dated as it had turned nicotine yellow with age I would have mentioned all of this to the owner but we didn’t hear from them until Wednesday evening apologising for not contacting us I replied saying we were going home Thursday morning instead if Saturday I thought they would ask why we were leaving early but nothing from them I don’t like leaving bad reviews on sites as I prefer to mention things to the person face to face but I didn’t get that chance

Prima huis met veel ruimte

Ruime kamers, veel mogelijkheden om bij mooi weer buiten te zitten in de tuin of op terras. Prima plaats om er op uit te trekken of tot rust te komen. Veel privacy.

Klein minpuntje was het geluid van de weg op de achtergrond aanwezig en afhankelijk van windrichting.
