A good choice if staying in Bénodet

Location was superb. The peace and quiet. Such tranquility. The views were lovely. Beautiful grounds. Intimate atmosphere.

Rooms are on the small side. The breakfast service was slow. Table don’t get cleared during breakfast. The service was inconsistent. One morning I was offered a fried egg ( I was struggling with the egg boiler) the other day I was turned down by another staff member.

They don’t let you use the tea/coffee machine during the day, only at breakfast. This seems pointlessly petty. You have a kettle and coffee machine in your room, but of course no milk/cream or fridge to keep them cool in.

Amazing place but a few misses

The hotel itself is gorgeous, inside and outside areas are a pleasure to enjoy. The spa was very nice, pools were great especially since the outside one and the hot tub which were heated and comfortable despite the weather being a bit cold. Room was pretty though quite small, especially the bathroom.

A few negative experiences put a real damper on the stay. There’s no restaurant and the breakfast is absurdly expensive for what they offer (we had it on our last day and were very glad we didn’t have it the other days). The hotel is quite far from everything so it’s a slightly long walk or quick bike or car ride to get to restaurants. We had coffees at the hotel on all the other days though their coffee machine didn’t taste nice. There is only one hook in the bathroom so we had to layer towels. The towel heater wouldn’t work either. They lend electric bikes on request which was perfect for us but some of the bikes are clearly needing to be maintained better. One properly screamed any time we use the brakes and another had a basket that didn’t hold despite us checking several times. It fell when we were locking up the bikes and broke my partner’s phone. They didn’t even have a word of apology when I told them, just that we could have used different bikes which is useless since we were already gone and the damage was done.

Great place and team but should improve on evening food offering.

The staff & facilities were fabulous.

I did not understand that they did not offer any food in the evening of our stay. we had cycled a long way to be there and then had to cycle into the nearest town where the food was bad. even if they offered a charcuterie and cheese platter with bread that would’ve been fine. when we got back the hotel was in effect closed.

Wonderful hotel

The staff were very friendly and ready to help on all occasions. The breakfast was excellent with many choices. The spa, swimming pool and jacuzzi were wonderful, especially during the chilly evenings. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.

The distance to Benodet was not an easy walk.

It was an amazing location. Loved the bikes for free to ride to town. Pool and hotel was clean, bright and funky! Staff were amazing. Always there but not intrusive! They were so helpful

Would have liked to have been able to get some food. Especially if just relaxing by pool for day , had to go out to get lunch

Good

The hotel was nicely refurbished to a high specification and the staff were very nice and accommodating (although not always available). The grounds were impressive and very beautifully lit at night but could have benefitted more by having some outside activities or relaxation areas. Breakfast was nice but you should go earlier since it can run low on viennoiseries. I liked the seating areas and comfy chairs in the salons and was a homely atmosphere. There was no mini bar but a fridge for drinks in the communal area. This was slightly cumbersome since you needed to ask staff to unlock the fridge each time you wanted a drink.

I think the hotel should not charge an additional 35 euro day rate to use the small outdoor pool. To pay this in addition to a top end price of 285 nightly euro room rate (in August) is excessive and not justified in my opinion

lovely room, electric charge point for our car and gorgeous setting

complimentary water bottle was only available on first day and no mini bar. We came back from a wedding party and could not find any water which wasn’t great;-) Coffee at breakfast was very lala and personally I don’t understand how a tastefully decorated hotel can go for a Eighties style turquoise swimming pool - it somewhat impairs the stunning views.

Wonderful experience

Amazing place. The manor is awesome, the furnitures are very elegant and well chosen. The room was perfect, fantastic bed, big shower. The staff is what makes this place shine: Elouan (hope we got his name right) has been great in helping us and it has been a pleasure talking with him. Great breakfast with salted or sweet stuff, anything you may wish for. Absolutely go there!

No dining or restaurant. Swimming pool advertised as heated in price was cold and therefore unusable. One main room was closed to us in our stay as in use by others, not reflected in price. No bar or good coffee facilities, no food offered, and no facility for Lun h, food of any sort or dinning..

Exceptional

This hotel and spa is a MUST stay. It is simply gorgeous, brand-new renovations and stunning pool and hot tub. We only stayed two nights and I could have stayed a week! Everything is incredibly clean, even with fresh flowers in the hallways which fills the place with sweet, welcoming smells. Breakfast was great! Best hotel in France!

En solutionnant quelques points l'hôtel pourrait être très bien.

Le cadre est splendide, les équipements sont très corrects, le spa est très bien.

1 bouteille d'eau est mise à disposition seulement le premier jour, de même les serviettes usagées ne sont pas changées. Le petit déjeuner est moyen, salade de fruit de la veille, jambon de mauvaise qualité, viennoiseries congelées.

Bella ristrutturazione di un vecchio maniero. Posizione tranquilla

Servizi non all’altezza del tipo di hotel e del costo: niente frigobar, niente aria condizionata, pulizia della camera alle 15 molto approssimativa (non hanno neanche portato via bicchieri e bottiglie usate), non c’è un bar, dopo le 21 reception disponibile a telefono. Insomma davvero troppo poco per un hotel del genere.

Fantastische locatie in een groot domein. Mooi gerestaureerd kasteel met alle faciliteiten.

Wij hadden een kamer op -1 bij de hamam en sauna n 1/3de onder de grond terwijl onze dochter een eenpersoonskamer had op +1. Toch beter ook op +1 een kamer gekregen.

wunderschönes altes Schloss, eingebettet in einen großen Park. Sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig renoviert. Zimmer sehr sauber, Ausblick wunderschön in den Park. Frühstück reichhaltig. Personal beim Frühstück sehr aufmerksam und bemüht. Außenanlage mit beheiztem Pool sehr sauber. Alles klein & fein.
