A fabulous area to visit, the hotel is ideally situated. Great value for money.

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean,the bed very comfortable. The decor was a little tiered. But great value for money.

We have stayed at this hotel before, and would again. You have to check in at a hotel around the corner and breakfast is served there too. This was not a problem for us but it may put some people off.

A trade off - outside swimming pool v the bizarrely run down

Very good breakfast in the proper and luxurious Grand Hotel a short walk away from ‘annexe’ - excellent service from breakfast staff. Good swimming pool - invaluable asset for young children. Central location in very up market holiday resort- can walk or get miniature train to the main beach. Excellent beach club for children 15 mins walk away- 8 euros per hour if you just turn up - great value. Huge comfortable bath A short walk to the boat jetty for all river cruises etc.

Although spotlessly clean with comfortable beds , the rooms have not been refurbished since the 1970s I would imagine- decoration was blue emulsion covering every service and pink bathroom. Cracked tiles, rotten basin cabinet held together with rotten gaffer tape - many people would find this wholly unacceptable. Parking is via a really narrow archway - and if a 4 WD is parked opposite the archway you’re in trouble. Trick is to back in- I went in front ways the first time and caused expensive damage to drivers door- simply putting in rubber surround would have prevented this. Hotel did refund my parking fees in total but I’m still seriously out of pocket. There is free parking however on street relatively close by. Basement level where swimming pool Is is very run down and abandoned- but pool itself is in lovely garden.

Decent swimming pool, good central location in Benodet.

Our room was in a very poor condition - peeling wallpaper, broken ceiling tiles etc. The room decor was very dated and the bathroom smelt of sewage because the shower and sink drain directly into the soil pipe (allowing nasty odours to come back up). You have to walk through the parking area to get to the swimming pool. On the hot days the room temperature was too high, some air conditioning is needed.

Perfect, low budget two days as I drove up to Brittany to check out future rental locations.

Great price for the room for two nights. Fortunately weather was fine as I had to collect key from another hotel 50m away. After check in I received a passcode for access to the hotel. Room basic but acceptable and fitted with a TV. I've stayed in rooms with no TV and mouldy shower cubicles so it was great to see a spotless room. A perfect low-budget stay in a great town with plenty of dining facilities and seaside setting.

Room needed some maintenance attention (cracked tile in front of washbasin, torn ceiling tile, peeling plastic strip coming away from the desk). I rang ahead to check parking and was told there was a car park. It proved impossible to access it as the entry was so narrow. Cars parked down the hill on the left side meant there was no chance to manoeuvre my car to gain access. I was forced to park on the road both evenings. Small point but was disappointed the maid could not offer me a spoon as I'd taken my kettle to make tea and coffee in my room as there were no facilities. A wooden stick would have sufficed or a pencil!

L'hôtel est en fait une annexe du Grand Hôtel tout proche. Moins confortable, sans doute, mais tout à fait correct, et surtout en accord avec le tarif. Présence d'une piscine (non couverte et non chauffée, donc à retenir seulement pour l'été). Proximité des rives de l'Odet, très beau coin.

3 étoiles... grosse déception

Literie confortable, salle de bain récente, jolie, propre et fonctionnelle (ouverture de la douche cependant très étroite). Personne agréable à l'accueil... mais étrangement dans un autre établissement heureusement proche. Proximité de la mer.

Hôtel vieillot et défraîchi, moquette du couloir très sale, intérieur de la chambre assez abîmé, moquette foncée (propre?), éclairage faiblard renforcé par les murs sombres. L'immeuble n'est pas du tout insonorisé (beaucoup de bruit jusque tard à cause du restaurant juste en-dessous) et la porte de la chambre ainsi que les fenêtres laissent fortement passer la lumière et le bruit. Une seule prise de courant dans la chambre (en bas du mur près de la porte d'entrée donc pas pratique). Pas de personnel sur place et les équipements indiqués n'y sont pas tous (pas de sèche-cheveux par exemple). Un tabouret fait office de table de nuit. Le WiFi n'était pas top, je n'ai pas utilisé la télé ni vu la piscine qui était fermée (réservation pour 1 nuit) Je pense cependant qu'il y a erreur sur le nombre d'étoiles indiqué compte tenu de la vétusté des lieux.

Petit prix pour cet hôtel ,en connaissance de cause établissement vieillot mais il n’en aurait pas été gênant si la salle. De bain n’avait pas été dans un état de saleté avérée : moisissures noires importantes dans la douche ainsi que le rideau de fenêtre de chambre sale avec des coulures de saleté. Modeste et ancien ne rime pas avec souillures et moisissures !!!!! Honte de louer dans cet état À la remise des clés :personnel très effacé ne demandant pas si le séjour s’est bien passé….et je les comprend ,ils doivent recevoir les plaintes des clients fréquemment

De passage à Bénodet une nuit d'hôtel dans ces conditions c'est suffisant

L'emplacement bien situé, le petit déjeuner était à prendre dans un autre hôtel, rien à redire sur le petit déjeuner c'était bien.

L'hôtel les bains de mer Riviera (un nom qui fait rêver) est une annexe du grand hôtel Abbatiale que j'ai appris plus tard par un mail et après avoir réservé. L'entrée de l'hôtel est propre et accueillante quoique sans personnel. Quand on arrive à l'étage la moquette vieillissante, chambre restée dans son jus des années 1970 papier peint qui se décolle peinture défraîchie moisissure autour de la fenêtre plafond en plaques de polystyrène, salle d'eau couleur rose douche avec un rideau, joint de silicone noirci malheureusement tout est à refaire heureusement le lit était bien. Dommage que le grand hôtel n'ai pas fait de travaux avant de mettre les chambres en service.

Pour un hôtel 3 étoiles, la propreté ne laisse pas une bonne image (tâches sur le mur et sur la moquette, joints de douche complètement moisis, sortie VMC moisi autour, une attache basse pour le pommeau de douche cassée et l'autre attache trop haute : mal pensé) La chambre 105 doit être refaite surtout la salle de bains On s'attendait à une salle de bains comme sur les photos
