Great stay but the cottage needs more storage and kitchen equipment.

The location is excellent, the cottage is modern and warm. The open plan living area works very well for a group of friends. There was plenty of hot water. Cleanliness was good.

The bedrooms need more storage for clothes. There is plenty of room to provide a proper chest of drawers and more hangers. Also a bathroom cabinet. The kitchen needs better equipment such as a bread knife, proper oven gloves, some tea towels, more cups. Parking is very difficult for two cars due to a van parked outside. The duvets were very thin.

Church Street Stay Nov 2022

Spacious and clean. Very light. Good kitchen area and lovely bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. Good bedding and towels. Comfortable sofas with lots of cushions. Great location near to the centre of Ambleside with parking.

The largest frying pan was not in a useable condition. We were told we would get a replacement the following day which never arrived. Shower pressure is really low, but at least hot.

Perfectly modern, nestled in a part of town easily accessible to everything.

By no means a negative (because it comes with two spaces in a town property!) but the property is up a small steep hill, so be mindful that the parking needs negotiating.

Perfect location, very homely and comfy.

Perfect location right next to the park and only a short walk into the centre and the lake, very clean and spacious. Good car parking. Tablet provided to communicate with the hosts if any problems. Would definitely stay again!!

Shower in one bedroom didn’t heat up, got in touch with the hosts who offered to fix it the next day but didn’t seem worth it just our final day. Wasn’t ideal but 3 of us managed with one shower. Kitchen could do with some bigger glasses as we had to use wine glasses for a decent drink.

Great location, lovely property!

Comfortable and well furnished property. Excellent location. Well appointed kitchen. Two good bathrooms. Two lovely sofas with plenty of good quality cushions.

Directions to the property were confusing and need to be made simpler, especially for those arriving in darkness. Name plate of property should be illuminated. Earplugs needed due to road noise and heavy rain on the skylights in the bedrooms.

Holiday break in Ambleside.

The accommodation is Lovely and well situated for the Lake/shops/pubs/restaurants. The owners are very responsive and answer any questions you have promptly. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Nothing which we didn't like. Couple of points which could enhance the facility but all in all very good.

AMBLESIDE

The location was perfect, right in the centre of the places we visited and a very short walk to the nearest restaurants, perfect. The accommodation was exactly what we needed, very clean, modern and functional, 2 double bedrooms both with ensuit shower rooms and a modern open plan living area.

Can not think of anything we did not like. The email from booking.com would not download which was a pain as needed arrival instructions, I contacted the property and they were both polite and helpful.

One night in Ambleside

There was parking, it was lovely and clean and two bathrooms is a great plus.

Only very minor areas for improvement. I think a bit more detail on the directions would be good as it is difficult to find straight off. Oh, and A pizza cutter would be an nice addition to the curry draw.

Great location

Initial impressions of the property were good, everything was clean and tidy. The living area was spacious and the kitchen facilities were good. Location was great - easy access to the town and restaurants.

The property should have been very easy to find but the directions given were not very clear and it took us quite a while to locate it. The bedrooms were small with hardly any storage space. No storage space in the en-suites. No instructions given regarding recycling.

ENJOYED OUR 4 DAY BREAK IN LOVELY AMBLESIDE, WITH SO MANY OTHER LOVELY PLACES TO VISIT CLOSE BY.

There could have been a Mirror in the bedrooms. Plus hanging space in both Bedrooms, (only in 1). Even if it is just a rail. This never really affected us because it was only a 4 day stay, so we lived out of our Suitcase, but if you were staying longer, storage would be beneficial.
