Not Even An Apology!

The cleaner was polite.

We arrived, no key in box. It took an hour to get the key, at it was then 7 pm. We were then late to our concert. The unit was not cleaned. It smelled like body odor. The janitor did not even know guests were arriving and he was frantic and apologetic. Clearly the owner dropped the ball but he was unapologetic!! If we had not been forced to pre-pay, we would have walked away and stayed elsewhere! Zero sugar or coffee also. Expect no welcome basket or note. Zero hospitality. The owner did not care...he offered no discount or refund at all.

Smelly

Nothing fancy. Beds were cozy. The kitchen is basic and well equipped.

The toilet flush was not working initially then one person came and fixed the issue. The kitchen was extremely smelly, I had to buy room freshers. There was no body soap or shampoo provided. One of the pillow cover was dirty.

Perfect apartment. Spotlessly clean. Would book again it was a very good price.

The WiFi didn't work. There was a number to call if I had any issues but having data on my phone I didn't bother asking about it.

Convenient location, needs so general maintenance.

Location was convenient being able to walk into town and a pub next door. Also great to have parking out front.

We firstly had approval to check in at 2pm. When we arrived at that time we were turned away by the cleaner and told we had the wrong time and to come back at 3:30. Once we were able to check in we parked out the front of the property which was convenient but littered with rubbish and cigarette butts and bins overflowing with rubbish. Upon entering the property it seemed clean and tidy. But nothing could mask the smell of cigarette in the front room where my poor children had to sleep. There were no toiletries supplied as mentioned in the booking. No dish cloth to wipe up. A paper towel holder was empty and no coffee pods for the machine. We appreciate the effort but we wouldn’t recommend or stay here again.

Not quite what was expected

Closeness to town

Not particularly clean, especially mats and runners. Freezer icebox wouldn’t close due to ice build up. Used mug in cupboard. Longer curtains needed in lounge, big gap between curtain and window ledge. 11am checkout, but cleaner came and tried key box at 10am then proceeded to sit outside in car waiting for us to leave, very sullen looking. Didn’t even wait for us to finish loading car before rushing past us at 10.30.

Only if the toilet and rooms had a privacy lock in key from inside.How with a toilet with no privacy.Any other person can open the toilet door when someone using it.It would be great if the bedrooms had a lock in key from inside for privacy.

Could do better

Well equipped. Warm. Quiet. Easy walk into town. Near supermarket. Comfortable beds. Plenty of towels. Nice Tassimo coffee making machine.

No heat, light or electric and apartment was cold on arrival. No response to several telephone calls and a couple of emails trying to resolve lack of power. We were cold, uncomfortable and worried. Booking.com were anonymous, useless, unhelpful in resolving an urgent situation.

Property was clean and it was all we needed for a weekend away. Location was not to far from centre so was able to walk.

The bed in one of the rooms was a bit squeaky when you moved and could hear the noise from the hotel as there was an event on. But that can’t be helped.

Location was fine - just 10 minute walk into Inverness. Well equipped little kitchen for making a quick breakfast.

Whilst the price was extremely good value, it could definitely have been cleaner with fresher smelling bedding and bathroom.

Pleasant

Walking distance from the town centre and a pub.

3 of the 5 chairs were broken and left in the cupboards. The table was very wobbly and one of the windows was stuck in an open position on the second night of our stay. Very cheap furniture all around.

Parking at the door, fairly central location.

There was a hairdryer in each bedroom. The windows had been left open so the place was aired and the heating was responsive so warmed up pretty quick. 2 towels for each guest. Plenty toilet roll and even kitchen roll provided. The kitchen was well equipped.

The wrong code was given on the email from booking.com and as we were late due the flight being delayed it was midnight and quite stressful trying to get in with 3 tired children. Luckily I had the hosts phone number and he answered immediately and provided the correct code. The curtains in the sitting room are too short for the window. The shower head stays at the minimum height - wasn't adjustable. The toilet lock is missing and the doors made a loud squeak.

Apartment facilities were good - kitchen stocked with tea, coffee, soap and washing up liquids etc. bathroom towels provided which was good too. plenty of space for 4 adults. great parking and close proximity to town along with a pub on the doorstep and Morrisons 5 minute walk away. would stay again!

the bed in the front facing bedroom wasn’t great, the left side was very sunken like the bed was broken and not repaired properly potentially. there was a bit of a damp smell in the property on arrival almost like a damp animal had been inside in addition to this there was quite a lot of long hair on the floors.

Disappointing

Clean linen, tea/coffee provisions, kitchen facilities good, comfortable seating in the living room.

Distinct smell of dampness clearly emanating from the bathroom, apartment located right next to the adjacent hotel's function room that blasted music to 1am in the morning on the Saturday night (fine if you're up there for a party, but not ideal if you're there for a relaxing weekend or if you have children), shower head didn't stay up, bed frame slats were broken in at least one of the rooms, bins overflowing at the front, front door lock didn't provide much confidence.

Superb

Nice and clean apartment close to the city centre. Parking and amenities close by. While it's close to the main road it's still fairly quiet as well.

The wardrobe in the smaller room wasn't attached to the wall so we were worried it would topple over, and could not use that room - especially with a small toddler who tried to use the wardrobe constantly for hide and seek.
