Very comfortable cottage. Very tasty homemade cakes on arrival. Front door opens out into the enclosed garden so the dogs could go straight outside. The cottage provided everything we needed. Parking next to cottage. Lovely big TV. Good value. Would love to stay again
A vacuum cleaner would have been handy to clean up after the dogs.

We stayed in the Cider Barn which was lovely. The bedrooms were comfortable, large and we had plenty of space to pack away our stuff. The bathroom was modern and spacious and we made full use of the kitchen and living room area upstairs. The views over the valley were stunning in the morning too. It was spotless and great to have use of a washing machine (situated in the utility area) within the grounds of the property. The location was great, central to the village which was very pretty and a 10 minute walk to the pub. Only 20 minutes from Lyme Regis and other coastal places too which was very convenient for days out.
We also got a takeaway from Khushi’s kitchen across the road, a great selection of frozen indian meals and can pay cash or card within her porch where the meals are stored. Delicious and all cooked in the microwave so very quick too, we would highly recommend.
A few more loo rolls would have been great, but we managed.

Cider Barn was a flipped accommodation, with the bedrooms on the entry floor and the kitchen/living room on the upper floor. This was great because we dropped all the suitcases off downstairs and enjoyed the living area upstairs. The hosts, Cyril and Linda, were helpful and friendly. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was nice and spacious. We stayed in a few cottages during our trip and out of all of the places, this cottage had the most well equipped kitchen, with cooking items, storage items, dishware, and baking items. We ate pizza one night and had a glass carafe for cold water. Very nicely equipped. Upstairs also had a nice living space with good internet and television options. The couch was L shaped and although the three of us fit, it was definitely tight for lounging and cuddling. There was a really nice information booklet with instructions and trail maps and such to help us understand the area and the facilities at the location. The driveway area was tight - I think Cyril said 3.5 m across so if driving a larger vehicle, there may be tight driving space, but the parking space itself was good, with designated parking for each cottage. The location was a bit out of the way but there were instructions for delivery options if groceries or food was needed. There was a local grocery place that did close relatively early, at least for our late arrival, but it was within walking distance. Axminster is relatively close. We used the site as a base to travel to Seaton, Lyme Regis, and Yeovil, so the location was very good for us. Quiet area with beautiful view.
Driveway area was very narrow for us as we hired a small SUV for our trip, so a smaller vehicle may fit the driveway better than we did. We could drive through, it just made us a bit nervous. There is a washing machine and dryer on site, but they are not within the cottage itself. There were moths upstairs. Everything else was great.

This place is beautiful! The hosts are lovely, the garden is amazing, the cottage was well equipt, super clean and the bed was the comfiest bed we ever slept in. The location offers peace and quiet and is 10 min drive from so many walks - woodland and beach.

Lovely cottage, full of character and in beautiful surroundings. Very clean and well equipped
The home- made cakes were much appreciated and delicious
If you need anything, Linda was on hand, but not intrusive and we felt that nothing was too much trouble
The village has good facilities, 2 pubs within walking distance, great countryside for walks, and a superb farm shop that we visited for a coffee most days!

The bedroom and bathroom were lovely.
lovely gardens.
Close to local amenities.
There was a smell when we walked in and the sofa was extremely tired and had black dog hairs on it .
we had to get straight back in the car and drive to the nearest supermarket for products to make the downstairs smell fresh and clean, which cost us £20.00 . luckily we had throws that we put over the sofa, as we didn’t feel comfortable sitting on it as it was.
The porch door needed some attention as it stuck.
was also very draughty in the living room and never seemed warm.
The carpets need a good deep clean too.
Took one of the owners over 24 hours to respond to a check in query after trying to contact both of them on the phone numbers given .

The contact with Linda & Cyril was easy and we felt that they wanted to make sure we had the best possible time.
The cottage was lovely with lots of nice touches and it came with everything we could have needed, even down to umbrellas in the porch! There were great views and the location was peaceful and yet not far from amenities.

Fabulous self contained cottage, very cosy. Nicely decorated and finished throughout . Well equipped kitchen.
We took our dog and there was a big garden for him to run around in. Free parking on site.

A characterful well appointed rural cottage. Full of atmosphere (we loved the 3 mouse shapes hidden in the decorations, glad they weren't real). Lovely touches with the ground coffee, cafetiere and wonderful cakes to welcome us.
