Perfect country-side getaway

Gorgeous old castle with lovely garden/grounds overlooking the lake. Breakfast was very good.

Rooms were very hot—hotel needs to invest in fans for rooms (if not AC). Restaurant was overpriced for the quality.

Relaxing break in this pretty hotel with gorgeous views and friendly staff.

Loved the buffet breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Rhein. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and spacious even with an extra bed for my daughter. The pillow menu is a great idea too. Loved the fitness area and playing table tennis. Loved the views and the pretty hotel grounds.

relaxing in beautiful surroundings

we had a love stay - very relaxing but a little disappointed that the room was not in the Schloss but in a nearby beautifully renovated ancient building which was light , airy and very comfortable . The break and staff were stupendous.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay at Schloss Freudenfels. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner was fantastic, with great service. It is located in a very peaceful and serene area about 10 minutes from Stein Am Rhein.

A wonderful discovery

It’s a unique place. With its medieval spectacle dinner it brings you back through the centuries for an evening. The hotel facilities and the breakfast are also perfect. The personell made their best to meet all our needs - very friendly and helpful. Warmly recommend!

wonderful dinners we had every night! fantastic views. clean room. stuff are very friendly, breakfast is simple but good enough. bed is comfortable.

We didn't know that there are different pillows in the hotel. We asked for more pillows as our pillows in the room are too soft and nobody told us that we could have more choses until we checked out at the reception desk. If stuff could told us when we asked for pillows, our vacation would be even more fantastic.

Eine freudige Auszeit oberhalb dem Bodensee

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Thurgauer-Gastfreundschaft vom Feinsten. Gemütliche Zimmer in der Scheune, mit Sicht aufs Schloss & See. Gutes Frühstück/Brunch bis 11 Uhr - top! Schöne Lage. Super ist auch die Möglichkeit zur eBike-Miete. Wir kommen wieder! Der Ort hat eine sehr angenehme Ambiance.

Die Zimmer sind nicht im Schloss selbst, das war uns nicht bewusst. In der Nacht hat jemand in der Halle/Treppenhaus herumgerufen & Gäste geweckt. Vielleicht wäre ein Info, dass es hallt, ganz gut.
