We had a great time and the kids loved it

This is a fantastic residence for anyone wishing to enjoy nature with a touch of history. The complex has impressive gardens and it was a pity that we couldn’t stay longer to explore all of them. The beds were comfortable and the room very convenient

I would really love a coffee maker in the room. Also finding the reception was a little tricky, some more clear signs would help

Totally worth it

What a beautiful, peaceful, stylish place. Nice restaurant with great food, too. Can't get more local than with delicious 0 km dishes. On top of that very pet friendly. Inform the hotel in advance, though, when in four legged company.

Cleanliness, the garden, the museum, the staff are very friendly, accessibility from Zurich - and the bus stop is just outside the hotel area

For an overnight stay, it's fine for a relaxing day. Beyond that, there's nothing much to do in and around the area.

beautiful grounds and great service in the reception and restaurant

we hated our room. I understand it was a design room but to us it felt like a prison cell. So sorry but not to our taste at all. It felt spooky and weird for us.

The location is spectacular and it is a wonderful setting in an old abbey with gardens and orchards all around. Most of the food is sourced from their own fields, including their own delicious wine!

What an energetic place, waking up after a december night of snowfall.

Room temperature when arriving. It takes 1 hour before it is warming up. I would advice more the design rooms.

Extraordinary spiritual place

The property is in a magical place - old church walls, monk-like minimalistic rooms with beautiful wood craft and even hidden TV and a nice hot shower! Surrounded by nature, lots of gardens and cultivated herbs and vegetables! Not to forget the vineyards and aquafish culture! Makes home-grown meals! There is always something to explore and to connect spiritually with. Exudes calmness.

lovely stay in a relaxing peaceful characteristic monastery hotel

the whole setting was peaceful. Our children had a design room, minimalistic but functional. My husband and I had a Gartenzimmer, on the main floor in another building, also modern, functional and minimalistic. functional Details like a flashlight and umbrella`s were very thoughtful. As the whole premises is not covered, and you have to walk to the parking outside the main square. Food was delicious, both breakfast and dinner: creative and good food. A big plus aswell was the availability of e-bikes and normal bikes, including a roadmap. We wanted to see the Rheinfall which was 30 min. cardrive. Our 2 nights stay was just too short to explore more of the region, and to visit the museum at the site.

the in between hours to have a drink, we had to wait until 5 p.m. when the Stube opened.

An unexpected gem - nicely renovated rooms in a beautiful setting. Loved the food truck in the grounds for lunch outside and the restaurant for dinner. Lovely gardens and shop with local produce, plus interesting museum. Great getaway so close to Zurich!

Location is great, loved the walks, the chess, the flowers, the nature. Room is clean and minimal. Loved that they gave us mint as a souvenir. Wifi was ok for working (not perfect but we managed with video calls).

Breakfast could be better (you had to boil the eggs by yourself and we didn't know how much time they need - we ended up wasting 4 eggs). You have to pay for late check-out even though the hotel is not full. Pillows are quite soft.

Es war ein sehr interessanter Ort mit Geschichte, schönes Zimmer, schöne Umgebung. Ganz originelles Restaurant, wo alle meine Allergien und Unverträglichkeiten berücksichtigt wurden. Das Essen war sehr gut.

Übernachtung im Kartause Ittingen

Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr schön gestaltet und weitläufig. Schöne Gartenanlagen in eine schöne Landschaft. Sehr gutes Essen und Frühstück im Mühle Restaurant mit leckere vegetarische Gerichte. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Modernes Design Zimmer mit gute Betten. Gratis Zugang zu den Museen vor Ort, die man wirklich empfehlen kann. Netter Klosterladen, auch Sonntags geöffnet, wo man viele schöne und leckere vor Ort hergestellte Produkte kaufen kann.

Die mehrmalige Störung der Nachtruhe durch eine Hochzeitsfeier die bis 2.30 Uhr morgens andauerte. Obwohl die Feier drinnen stattfand, war die sehr laute Musik bis in unserem Zimmer zu hören. Die heimkehrende Gäste waren sehr laut unterwegs. An einem Ort wie diesen erwartet man Ruhe. Tipp; Feiern nur bis Mitternacht erlauben. Da es in unserem Zimmer ziemlich warm war, mussten wir das grosse Fenster gekippt lassen, sonst wäre die Ruhestörung geringer gewesen. Das parken ist neuerdings für Hotelgäste nicht länger kostenfrei. Wir bekamen netterweise eine Gutschrift, da bei der Buchung vor einigen Wochen das parken noch kostenfrei war.

Joli coin, comme un petit village à part, magnifiques environs, restaurant tip top. Au départ le personnel a offert des oeufs de la ferme de l'hôtel - extraordinaire.
