It was surprising. The rooms were much more luxurious than the pub led to expect .
There were few toiletries and no hairdryer.

Very easy to reach via train from Newcastle only takes 8 minutes.

The room.was nice and spacious. It's right on the high street for access to the shops. Parking was free.
Single glazed windows made for a very noisy night. Music came on full blast at 8am on a Sunday, which wasn't the best wake up. The chef had booked sick so food was unavailable after 4pm. The pillows smelt like cigarette smoke.
