Beautiful place to stay in Belgium countryside.

The grounds are beautiful with a large outdoor area with bar and restaurant to lounge on the lawn.

Restaurant (bistro section) was a little understaffed.

high level romantic hotel with great staff and gastronomic facilities

breakfast was excellent with the possible to go inside or outside; wide variety of possibility and freshly cooked eggs like you wanted them

it was not an issue for us but for a 5 star hotel with this standing the spa was rather limited in facilities (but modern, elegant and free for the existing facilities)

Lovely castle expérience

Great nicely renovated castle with very well kept beautifull gardens. Nice junior suite. Cozy feeling. Breakfast was wonderful

Definately worth every dime and it’s a place you wanna visit in your lifetime atleast once.

The care and politeness of everyone working there is unmatched by anywhere else we have been.The welcome you get and customer care all throughout is really enticing to make you come back:)

Terrible

We have stayed there at least 6 or more times. The Rooms are amazing but the bistro staff are rude obnoxious. So sad a beautiful place and rude people. Bistro was medium busy however we were ignored for over an hour. We ordered spaghetti so…. What a shame

A room in a Castle for the night

I absolutely loved the attention to details in the room. Modern yet traditional. The bed and pillows were comfy and you had the option to change the pillows if they were too soft or hard. I loved that the W.C was separate from the shower and the towels were actually in a cabinet under the sink. Every detail in regards to accommodation was there, for example if you forgot your phone charger the front desk had you covered. Room service 24/7. The wait staff at the Bistro Richard were all so friendly and attentive. The bar tender in the lounge...and the lounge itself...the decor...fantastic and uplifting .

The walk from parking to reception ...needs to be a bit more clearly marked.

Fantastic little castle stay. We enjoyed the private spa facilities and the rooms were great and comfy. Staff were all very friendly.

Perfect setting for a romantic getaway. Amazing food at Aurum and great breakfast in the bistro. Friendly staff, very comfortable beds. Nice "instagramable" chapels to visit nearby.

We liked the ambience. We liked the possibility to enjoy a meal at the 1* restaurant and we enjoyed meeting the chef Gary Kirchens. We liked the quiet, well decorated room. In all we stayed 3 days longer than originally planned.

Access to the Internet was below our expectation. Speed was slow and the over all streaming was poor considered the standard of the hotel.

It was a beautiful first stay.

The breakfast was lovely. Very nice service and good selection. Complementary champagne on the buffet! The castle is gorgeous! Everything was beautiful and new. The bistro’s food was fabulous.

We only came for Sunday night and had wanted to have a drink in the bar but it wasn’t open because the staff of the restaurant, which wasn’t open for Sunday dinner, also ran the bar and they were off duty. I think they should have additional personnel to keep the bar open, even if just to pour a glass of wine or beer.

Superb

The renovated castle is amazing. The restaurant (bistro) has very tasty dishes. You can also rent an e-bike to see the area around the property. There is also a private wellness but better to book it well ahead.

The wellness facility is private (which is good), but it was almost fully booked upon our arrival. Therefore we could only use it for only one late slot in the last evening before we leave (during our three night stay). The system should be organised so that there are at least a few slots available when guests arrive.
