DETAILS: Wake up on the beach at “Matarangi†in Grayton! You can have it all here– a private pool, 6 adult bikes, a game room, elevator, grill and plenty of privacy in every bedroom. In addition to its prime location directly on the Gulf and nearby the funky shops and dining of Grayton, the views from every floor are breathtaking. This 3-story home with balconies on every level has 6-bedrooms and 6.5-bathrooms that can comfortably accommodate 12 guests.
The first floor belongs to the kids with a large bunk area, complete with 2 twin bunks, a media center and private bathroom. It also has a washer and dryer and access to the private, fenced-in pool.
The focal point of the home is on the second level, where the open family room hosts the kitchen and living space. With floor-to-ceiling windows on the south-facing wall, guests will get a fantastic and unobstructed view of the dunes and Gulf. The gourmet chef’s kitchen is fully equipped and can seat 15 for a meal at the breakfast bar or dining table. If you chose to dine al fresco, there are plenty of Adirondack chairs on the deck and a propane grill to cook and eat together. A 55†flat-screen LED TV complete with Blu-ray and Sonos can provide entertainment for everyone to enjoy around the seating area in the living room. 5 bedrooms are on this floor, all with their own flat-screen TVs. This is a perfect location away from the craze of Destin and Seaside. We have a large family and the kitchen and entertaining areas are perfect! We cooked every day and night of our 7 night stay. The ice maker was not working, so that was a challenge to purchase bags of ice. Bring your own beach chairs and tent, as the rentals do not extend that far down on the beach. Best location yet! We stay every year in Grayton, so we know!

Beautiful home, beautiful views. The home was still being cleaned when we arrived at 4PM on 3/16, so our group was confined to only the game/laundry room area until 5:30, which was disappointing and unexpected. We never received a reason for the move in delay. We had to have A/C repair early in our stay. Also the window blind in the 3rd floor primary bedroom was broken upon arrival and was inoperable for the entire stay. We had two children under 3 in our group so the multiple steep staircases were not the best scenario for us but we managed it , and the kids and adults all had a very enjoyable stay.

The views are great and the house is unique. getting to the beach is a little harder than what we normally have so be ready. Be prepared for lots of stairs, this is not a house for older people!! Overall we had a good time and we really enjoyed the decks. There had been a storm and lightning caused some electrical issues in the house but we managed and the manager sent a repair person over that fixed several items but it left us without a stove/oven for the week.
