As always, everything was perfect! There were a couple of things not working correctly...the freezer, but my son in law wrote it up. The happiest thing of all is seeing how much joy it brings to my family. It is definitely our HAPPY PLACE!!

Our whole family agrees that this location with the proximity to gulf AND lake is ideal. It's encouraging to see the improvements that have been made to this beach house over the past few years, too. All of that kind of pales though when you start seeing roaches. There were enough sightings downstairs to make our grandchildren want to sleep upstairs with us. Luckily we had a spare room for them. The ones in the kitchen and family area were too much, though! We sent an email at midnight on Saturday after we arrived, and the rental company was very responsive, having someone there the next morning (Sunday) to address the immediate problem areas and the exterminator there on Monday. We continued to see live and dead ones throughout the week though, so it put a damper on our trip. Not sure if it's a problem for this house or the area but we have not had this problem in any of the other places we have rented up and down 30A over the past 13 years.
