Zefiro Suites

Sergio is a fantastic host, great communication throughout who met us personally at an agreed time to check in. The Zefiro Suites are in a brilliant location, right near all the top sights of Palermo, all easily accessible on foot. We loved the room, modern, well equipped, spotlessly clean & we had a great view from the balcony over the rooftops of Palermo. The steps up to the suites were not a problem for us at all & we enjoyed the breakfast each morning at Cafe Borso (great coffee). The suites are an easy 12 minute walk from Palermo station down via Roma. It was very straightforward to catch a fast train back to the airport. Palermo itself is incredible. The people are so full of life, it's infectious. The food, culture & atmosphere is fantastic. A must - have some street food at the local market, superb. Explore the many stunning local churches & highly recommend making the trip to Monreale cathedral, absolutely breathtaking & stunning views over Palermo from.Monreale. Sergio is very helpful with recommendations of things to see & do. We will definitely come back to Palermo & will stay at The Zefiro Suites again. The location, service & accomodation has been brilliant.

We liked everything.

This property is in a incredible location, you’re only a 5 minute walk from Quattro canti which is the heart of the old town! You’re near the art district and near some incredible restaurants! You’re a 5 minute walk from many bars and outdoor party places. The room is also incredibly clean, comfortable beds and great shower! Sergio was incredibly helpful with tips of the city and helping with our suitcases!

Location was excellent. It’s very central to all major sites. We walked everywhere. It’s also quiet. However you have to be able to walk up three floors which wasn’t an issue for us. The luggage went up via a pulley system. The bonus for us was Sergio’s helpfulness. He offered many tips for seeing Palermo and for our onward journey. Zefiro Suites organised a pick up from the airport plus organised for us to get to the pickup point for our rental car. All this made a huge difference to us.

Nothing really

We booked a Deluxe Room for 4 nights. We selected Zefiro Suites due to its central location, 10 mins walk from the central railway station and on a side road of Via Roma where local buses and buses to/from Trapani and other places can be taken. Rooms are clean and modern, beds comfortable, room size is ok. Furniture availability is puristic, e.g. no real wardrobe is available.

Important for travellers is that the rooms are located on the 3rd floor, no elevator is available. Dependent on your physical condition, access might be difficult. Heavy suitcases will be hooked to a motor-driven cable and lifted upstairs. Breakfast is not on the room level as pretended (see photos on description) but in a coffeeshop down the road. Breakfast options are rather limited (actually the least satisfying on our 4-week Sicily roundtrip). Be aware that the installations are in an area with bars and nightlife until late. With closed windows and available airplugs the situation can be improved. BTW: No one was available at checkout at the agreed time.
