Oski Lodge, Rain Forest Rincón de la Vieja

You are basically in the middle of the rainforest so you have to understand that facilities are not going to be "Four Seasons" level. Given this, Oski Lodge met our expectations. We had good beds, running water, electricity, and Veronica, the caretaker, took care of our homemade meals. She cooked breakfast when we woke up, made dinner at our requested times, and answered all our questions about the local area. In short, the Oski served our purposes - close to the rainforest, no waiting for meals, a good place to sleep after a tiring day in the rain forest. The one recommendation would be to add mosquito netting - lots of mosquitos, but we dealt handle it with bug spray. The lodge also has a small lake with many domesticated and wild birds - ducks, turkeys, geese, chickens and wild birds coming in for a sip.

Add mosquito netting. Lots of small flies and mosquitos which is expected in the rain forest. They could add some small additional services and make more money by adding: laundry since the humidity makes all our clothes wet, and "to go" lunches. This would enhance their service offering and income.

Está inmerso en el bosque, es un bonito lugar para estar ahí y no tener que moverte. Buen desayuno. Pudimos ver un cielo estrellado increíble durante la noche.

La ubicación no es la adecuada para visitar el volcán, ya que está al otro lado de la entrada del parque. El camino para llegar hasta el hotel es muy complicado, se necesita un 4x4, ya que no está pavimentado y hay muchas piedras, baches, agujeros, etc. La habitación tiene un suelo de lamas de madera que están abiertas, así que entran todo tipo de insectos por el suelo. No hay muchas cosas alrededor para visitar, ni tampoco muchos restaurantes. La piscina no estaba en funcionamiento.

The waterfall on site was beautiful and perfect for someone who cannot hike too far. Restaurant right around corner is amazing. Try their Pasta Bolonesa! Superb.

Location quiet comfort nature.

Garden full of birds, good location for hikes to waterfalls and hot springs. Lovely wooden lodge and dining room. Breakfast was good, fresh juice, and cooked eggs etc A short walk to a good restaurant for dinner.

A few details missing...no bedside lamp, only one socket in the bedroom. Shower was cold, WiFi was very slow and not much phone signal. Sheets didn't fit the bed properly.
