The location is absolutely 7-star – stunning and unbeatable. However, if you’re booking through third-party sites like Expedia or Agoda, be aware that you’re unlikely to get a top-floor or volcano-view room, even if you request it. I had specifically asked for a top-floor, non-smoking room with two beds. While I did receive the non-smoking room and bed configuration, the top-floor request was not honored. The hotel staff mentioned that they never received these preferences from Agoda. It seems that guests booking through third parties may be assigned rooms that are less in demand or less desirable.
