We had the most fantastic stay at Castelsuites. Filip was amazing from the minute we arrived. He showed us to our BEAUTIFUL room and then offered us a lovely welcome drink which just started the trip off in such a special way. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning; it's elegant and magical whilst also feeling cosy and homely. We had one of the parking spaces at the hotel, so it was really easy for us to get there by car, and then it's an easy walk into the city centre so the location is absolutely perfect. Filip also sent us recommendations of restaurants/things to do which was very helpful and he was so easily contactable for any questions we may have had. Filip, thank you so much for making our stay in Bruges so special - as I mentioned when we left, we will 100% be back!
Nothing - it was amazing.

Absolutely amazing small family run boutique hotel, the building looks like a fairytale castle, each of the 5 rooms are designed differently in a unique way, the staff were very nice and welcoming, in particular the owner/host Fillip was very friendly and provided a very cosy warm place , we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A big thank you to Fillip and his team . We will definitely visit again

We stayed for one night, it was faultless. The hotel and room were beautifully decorated. We loved the drink and the meat board upon arrival. The room was clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We absolutely loved the beautiful bath too!
I would have given this a 10/10 review… however.. we were completely aware of the €35 parking. When we checked out in the morning there was no one there to settle up. I let the hotel know what time we were returning the following day to collect our car (and obviously pay the charge). My partner and I were bringing the car up to the entrance gate so he could drop me off at the (because it was raining) so I could come inside and settle what we owe. However, we found ourselves barricaded in because the owner had blocked the entrance with his car. We found this incredibly aggressive and put a real dampener on our stay because it was so fantastic. We were so looking forward to book again next year but unfortunately this has put us off returning. There were other ways the owner could have dealt with this (like sending us a WhatsApp or coming out to us) than feeling the need to block us in.

Loved the rooms and the whole ambience. Staff were fantastic and breakfast although expensive was stunning!
Room is quite dark for reading or writing and back garden needs some attention.

Room is a little dark for reading or writing and the rear garden could have done with a bit of attention.

My stay here started with a very warm welcome and a glass of prosecco.
The style and the design of the place create an incredible aesthetic.
The room itself was impeccable. It is definitely one of the most beautiful suites I've stayed in.
The location is great, not far from the city center and railway station.

Fantastic decor and very stylish rooms. Great communication with the owner, private parking and convenient for the local attractions and the station for going further afield.
Nothing in particular.

The hotel was stunning and immaculate, the breakfast was fabulous, a nice change from a full english. The host Filip was great, with a drink some cheese and meats waiting for us on arrival, great safe parking for your car. Only a short flat 2 minute walk into the busy centre.

Stunning property, room was beautiful, bed really comfortable and bath was luxurious.
Nai and Filip were perfect hosts throughout. Their communication was excellent prior to arrival and their help in providing recommendations for places to eat and visit was wonderful.
The welcome drink and tapas was a lovely touch as well. We paid for breakfast for one of the mornings and it was well worth it. Location was 15 min stroll from the centre square which allowed us to walk off a lot of the food and Belgian beer!
Nothing at all!

Long distance to the centrum of the city. Rooms are comfortable, but no free water. We did not get the free food that we were promised for welcome.

We absolutely loved our stay! We felt like royalty and were very happy with the staff! Naileth was so friendly and very professional! She made us feel at home and she was the best staff member I have encountered in many of my traveled!
There was not one complaint !

We stayed in the Executive Suite and it was wonderful. The decor was luxurious and sumptuous!
Nai was a brilliant host and looked after us well. Breakfast was decadent and the dining area is beautiful.
The location is great, just a short walk from the busy centre and close to the station if coming by train. There's a lovely walk along the canal nearby.
Nothing to do with the hotel, just a guest with their TV on very loud!

the hotel was in a great location and the staff were very hospitable.
Our room was very stylish but tiny and not worth the money.
Breakfast was nice but not worth €35 euros pp. parking was convenient but once again expensive at €30 per night.

Property was exceptional. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly offering welcome drinks and information on local attractions, the breakfast is a must. Highly recommend
Only disappointment wastThat we were only able to stay one night

We stayed for just one night whilst visiting Bruges. The main advantages were:
- Location was great, as it was just a short 10 minute walk to the city centre.
- The room and the entire property had a “wow” factor making it a memorable experience.
- The hosts were friendly offering lots of useful information about main attractions and we were grateful to receive a welcome drink and tapas.
A few things that weren't as good are below.
- We felt that pricing for additional items such as parking at 35 euros a night and breakfast at 35 euros per person was not fair. When paying over 200 euros per night, we would expect better pricing - instead it left an uneasy feeling about the way the business is run.
- It is not pleasant to be told you can only check in between "2 and 3pm" or "4 to 5pm" - we had to change our plans to achieve this.
- The room was not practical. It felt like it was all style over substance. After travelling extensively for over 10 years, this was the room with the worst storage we have ever seen - there was literally no drawer space for any clothing at all. Not even bedside tables with drawers. We only stayed for one night with our suitcase on the floor - staying multiple nights would be uncomfortable.

What a stunningly beautiful property lovingly restored by an owner that has so much personally invested in his family home. The room and staff were wonderful- this is a truly memorable place in such a lovely city.

his was the highlight of our European trip—by far the most expensive place we stayed, but absolutely worth it. The building is full of charm and the atmosphere is wonderfully romantic. We were welcomed with a lovely drink on arrival, and both the host Filip and the amazing Argentinian receptionist on check out day made us feel incredibly welcome and well cared for. The location is quiet yet ideal, just a 15-minute walk from the Grand Place.
The retro style of the hotel gave it so much character, and our room was simply beautiful. The bed was very comfortable, the copper bathtub was a dream, and the minibar worked on trust, which added a really nice personal touch. Everything was spotless, and the attention to detail in both service and design made the experience feel truly special.
nothing - one note there were no vegan options for breakfast for my fiancé even if it looked incredible , we ended up eating out in Bruges—but honestly, this was a tiny detail in an otherwise impeccable stay and eating out in Bruges is so great too !

We really enjoyed the welcome from the stuff. The room was fantastic as it is presented at their website. We received a great amount of information about what options we have and the hospitality was great.

The hotel looked beautiful and the staff gave us an amazing welcome. The location is a short walk from central Bruges, in a very quiet and peaceful spot. The rooms are a stunning design - we stayed in the room called the Primitivo (the only thing to be aware of is that the toilet does not have a door). Overall, we had a lovely experience and woould recommend.
During the night, the shower drain began to smell - we managed to mitigate that by running the water but would be great if the issue could be fixed!

Extremely friendly staff.
She gave us great tips for restaurants and places to go.
Beautiful Manor House. Typical from Bruges.
Beautiful room with a fantastic old-style independent Bathtub.
The WC was on the same sleeping room, without any kind of separation. Lack of privacy.
Decoration of the room was a little bit too dark. But this is just a personal taste.

The hotel is a beautiful and charming old building with very cozy rooms and amenities. And most importantly the host Filip and his family are just extremely warm and hospitable. I would never stay at any other place if I visit Bruges again.

The owner, Filip, was abroad during our four-night stay. However, his trusted friend Patrick took excellent care of us during the entire stay. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with champaign and a charcuterie board while being introduced to Bruges via map and stories. Our room was luxurious from the extremely comfortable bedding to the large, well-appointed bathroom complete with a copper soaking tub. Breakfast, optional, was romantic and delicious, served in the beautiful dining room. Patrick even cooked made to order eggs for me one morning!
The location couldn't be better. It is mere steps from the lovely Smedenpoort old city gate as you cross one of the beautiful canals with walking and biking paths routed through the park-like area. While not in the city center, we were able to casually stroll there within 15 minutes. This allowed us to enjoy exploring the city without constantly encountering the crowds, especially on the weekends. Also, we weren't disturbed by the city noise at night.
While we did not avail ourselves of all the amenities at Castelsuites, there is a fully stocked honor bar adjacent to the dining room and sitting area. There is also a lovely garden behind the gated entry between Castelsuites and the adjacent building.
We may not return to Bruges in the near future, but when we do, we definitely will stay at Castelsuites!
Everything was wonderful. Our only complaint has nothing to do with Castelsuites. Being in late April, we had several days of rain and cool weather which "dampened" our spirits slightly. However, overall it was a great stay in a beautiful city and Castelsuites was a wonderful part of it.

The person who was looking after our stay was very kind and helpful. When we arrived he led us to our room and in order to put our luggage away. He called us approximately 10 minutes after to greet us with some champagne and a charcuterie board. We asked him if he knew any good restaurants in the area and he send us I think a dozen different restaurants of all kinds. Since it’s a small castle there are only 3 rooms and there isn’t a reception 24/7. So we got keys to be able to get in an out whenever we wanted. We even had some food delivered to this place in the middle of the night. We also got some red wine the first day on the house. We went there during the christmas holidays in order to see the christmast markets. You didn’t have a bar in your own room but there was a common bar in the hallway where you could get drinks and some snacks. It’s based on trust so they don’t know what you took unless you tell them, which is something I appreciate very much. It felt as if a family was taking care of the small castle.
We liked it very much because it was very seclueded and including us there was one other couple. We decided we would definitly come back here again.
Nothing. There was not one thing that bothered us.

We absolutely loved our stay at Castle Suites! The building and styling are outstanding, I have a keen interest for Interiors so it was wonderful to chat to Filip about the hotel and it's background. The hospitality was brilliant, so warm and welcoming, anything you need you just have to ask. Lastly, you must get the breakfast, delicious experience. If we could rate 11/10 we would!
