Brilliant stay altogether.

The room was lovely very clean and the location is spot, everything walking distance. Would definitely stay again.

The furniture was very good and sturdy. Bathrooms clean. Can't think of anything it missed, maybe a bike rack? but you can put in your roomy room. Building is charming medieval with uneven floorboards, like a shakesperean house but with modern security (on front gate and rooms). Excellent kitchen/bathroom facilities missed nothing.

Arrived at the hotel, entered the allocated room to find it had not been cleaned from the previous occupant. Given another room which was also unclean

Despite the location the room was small and not worth the money. We paid £95 it was only worth £50 at the most.

Great stay

The location was amazing—smack bang in the centre. I was worried it might be noisy, but it was very quiet in the morning. I slept in until 10:00. The base was amazing for a visit to the theatre, a stroll down to Spoons, or a walk by the river. I spent a few hours in the sun reading my book with a pint. Its brilliant

The milk was out of date. But that's not a huge problem. There was a whiff of fish in the corridors from the restaurant but not in the bedrooms. The bed was a bit small for me as I am used to a super king. but I am 6ft6

Great place with lots of history! The bar with the courtyard was lovely and the restaurant food was very tasty. We really enjoyed our stay! Thanks!

Perfect for a couple of nights

Friendly and helpful staff, great location with lovely courtyard. Our room overlooked the courtyard and with the window open you could hear everything but it was quiet from around midnight. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. Check in and out was easy, even though we were late due to train delays. Everything you needed really for a couple of nights!

The bed was very soft but that's personal preference

Convenient for what we needed!

Location was brilliant, very clean and lovely staff and the restaurant / bar looked beautiful!

Have to be picky to find something negative - parking is a short walk away around the corner and there is LOADS of stairs up to the bedrooms which is a pain with a pram (well, impossible actually) but it’s an old building so that isn’t their fault!!

With it being in the centre the parking wasn't good but there was a small car park to the rear of the hotel and was just a short walk

The light on corridor at my room wasn’t on. And there was steps. The staff member couldn’t find the corridor light. The shared bathroom toilet didn’t seam to be working so was full of toilet roll. Luckily I used the pub toilets before coming to my room. No kettle/cups in room so in the morning there was no where to make a cup of tea. Didn’t know where to hand key in the morning as everything closed.

The staff were really friendly, the bar area was lovely, drinks were nice lots to pick from. paid extra for own bathroom so had own bathroom.

the room wasn’t very spacious but not end of the world, however - milk in the room was out of date, biscuits also out of date, room didn’t look as though it’d been hoovered, the bed was uncomfortable and felt like there was a hole in the middle of the bed - must have been broken. stayed before but probably won’t stay again not happy with the amount I paid for this accommodation.

Good location but overall disappointing due to the cracked tiles and the food.

The staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable

The tiles on the bathroom floor were cracked and cut my toe on one of the broken tiles. The Italian resteraunt that was part of the hotel was over priced and the food was of a poor quality. My wife's pasta was stodgy and over cooked and my chicken was dry and tastless. The bill came to 150 pounds for the meal including drinks and must say it was very disappointing and left hungry at the end.
