Right in the thick of it location wise which is pretty sweet. You can walk outside the hotel and there’s street food everywhere, zocilo is right there, etc. It was bumping but also we never found it too loud at night. Beautiful plants and nice rooftop square

High quality stay for a great price, would definitley stay here again.

Perfect location and a walking distance from all of the city’s highlights. Also extremely helpful staff that helped us get around, housekeeping was excellent and even organized all our belongings well (you’ll just have to specifically request it by leaving your key with the front desk while you go out for the day). A/C worked well with an easy remote control. Even though the breakfast is not included, we still had it there one of the mornings we were staying and it was great and reasonably priced! Would definitely stay again next time we’re in Oaxaca.

A beautiful garden-like ambience. Simple, elegant rooms with tall ceilings. Convenient location, close to everything. Friendly staff. Tasty breakfast. A wonderful little place to lounge and kick back when traveling in Oaxaca.

Hard to get hot water for making my own tea. (The hotel does sell tea and coffee from their kitchen but there’s no coffee maker in the room. )

Wonderful location/experience

The courtyard on the main level and the terrace above were beautiful and very inviting. We spent a couple hours, one evening, just sitting on the covered terrace just listening to the rain and looking out onto the lights of the city. Likewise, the staff were incredibly inviting and helpful. Just a wonderful, wonderful location/experience overall.

The hotel is in a very good location, within easy walking distance to the city centre. The setting of the hotel is pleasant, with nice seating areas around the central courtyard. Our main complaint is that the hotel did not provide easy access to drinking water; the only way to get some was to buy it during the restaurant's opening hours, which were quite limited. It is really necessary to provide access to drinking water in Mexican hotels - we ended up having to buy from a nearby store and this was a big inconvenience. Additionally, there was no safe in the room, which is another necessary addition.

Delicious breakfast package offerings. Friendly staff. Clean space. Colorful ambiance. So close to the zocalo. Easy check in. They accommodated us (family of 4 with a baby and a toddler) and all of our luggage with kindness and professionalism.

Peaceful stay in central Oaxaca

Excellent location, right next to the Zocalo, but still very quiet in the room. Impeccably cleaned every day, and we loved the open courtyard with the multitude of plants - a lovely place to sit and read. Would also recommend the breakfast - we ordered eggs and ham and it came with a fruit dish, beans and some delicious salsa verde.

The shower sometimes didn't have hot water, only lukewarm.

Beautiful property plus amazing location next to markets, historic area, museums, galleries, bars!

Beautiful property and center courtyard. Great room service, WiFi and very helpful staff. They went and made an extra set of keys for us and called taxis etc.

The beds were not comfortable and the hotel restaurant/bar wasn’t good but there are so many amazing places to eat nearby so no need to eat at the hotel.

The king bed was very comfortable! Good size of room for resting, loved the patio with plants and flowers. Had breakfast I e morning that was a good value, well presented and great flavors. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Location was 3 blocks to Zocalo and easy to walk around the historic center.

The floor grout is badly in need of a deep cleaning and walls need repainting. Coffe maker and small fridge are very helpful when staying for more than an overnight.

Great people, but too noisy for us

The staff were great and the facility was well maintained and clean.

It was VERY noisy. There was a constant roar of traffic on the adjacent street... and... the laundry was below our room (13) so whenever the equipment was in use we heard it in our room... even in the middle of the night!

There is no safe in the room. The payment for the hotel is only in cash. It is mentioned on Booking but still it is really not convinient.

The location is good and the sun light coming into the room is really cozy.

There was an issue with the room and at no point did they apologise, though they did change my room. There was also a buzzing noise which I had to constantly report to the staff to switch off during sleeping hours. They could include complimentary bottled water.

Had all the needed amenities, staff was very helpful, restaraunt downstairs was convenient, great location.

I only wish they would have accepted credit cards so I didn’t have to visit an atm machine so frequently. It meant I had less cash on me for shopping & street fare. Drinkable waters in rooms would also be nice. We had to purchase water to drink constantly. A better shower curtain would be helpful to keep floors dry and reduce risk of a fall. Small things yet easy to improve.

A colonial hotel with a friendly staff, great location, and covers all the basics quite well.

The staff was very friendly. They went out of their way to share information and making sure my stay was comfortable. Its small, beautiful, and has all you need for a stay where you plan to be out and about.

Very well located for the Zocalo etc with decent wi-fi, hot water and effective air-con. Quiet....if its quiet.

Its cash only. Its in the small print on booking but caused me a bit of a headache - and obv pushes up the price somewhat with ATM exchange rates and charges etc. The rooms are a bit hot and I had to run the aircon even when it was cold outside. The aircon makes a strange buzzing noise intermitently and so am not sure you could sleep with it if it was a hot night.

Lovely, peaceful place

Very peaceful courtyard and rooftop to escape the city. Friendly and helpful staff. They let us leave our bags and use the toilets when we arrived before check in off a night bus. We felt very relaxed and at home here. Good value coffee in the morning.

The room was a bit hot and stuffy. There was air con but a fan would have been nice as well. Drinking water was not provided for free.

Never stayed at this hotel, i usually stay at another hotel also located near El Zocalo but Saw this hotel, the ratings were great so I gave it a try. My flight arrived earlier than expected. I contacted the hotel via email giving them a heads up that might happen and if it did would I be able to check in early, they said certainly to give them a call once I landed. I was able to check in earlier than the check in time which was awesome. They have a full kitchen that offers VERY delicious food All the way up to 3 or 4pm. I will definitely be referring family and friends to this hotel and I will be staying with them in the near future as well.

The beds are a little stiff, but other than that I enjoyed my stay.
