Everything was great exept no soap or shampoo at all and I wanted to shower upon arrival

bit too close to zocalo, can hear street bands and musicians at the restaurants more than I would like, hot and stuffy, old facilities, wifi does not work, expensive for what it provides

Perfect location but terrible internet

The location is perfect, right by the main Zocalo. It's not directly in front which allows you to avoid all the noise. The room is small but cozy and the hot water is great. There is a mini-market next door and an Oxxo on the other side.

The internet was really bad, only a 2 mbp upload speed! I had a scheduled video call for work I had to cancel because the internet signal was too weak :( The window panels were missing in the bathroom and it opened up to a hallway. I could hear all the conversations from the cleaning staff and they could probably hear me as well. The bed was too hard.

Nice and cozy hotel in the historic center of Oaxaca, next to the Zicalo. Everything reachable in walking distance, even the collectivos to Pochutla/Mazunte.

Fair place to stay.

Good location downtown close to everything. The staff very courteous and helpful. Beautiful looking hotel

The beds are BRUTALLY hard, no Heat or AC. The windows are horrible, more like blinds that let all the hot (during the day) and cold (at night) air in and offer zero noice protection, so you can hear everything that is going on. Add that the the hard bed, and you will have very little sleep.

A good option if you're willing to sacrifice a few things...

- Location, a few steps away from the Zócalo. - Affordable. - Nice staff.

- Wifi kept dropping. - Bathroom needs to be redesigned. There is barely any space between the toilet and the shower. - The bathroom floor gets flooded every time you take a shower. - The bed was broken.

fine hotel if you don’t take the cheapest options

the central location, the super friendly staff and the tours

we booked a more expensive room after renting a cheaper one and struggling with a lot of noise, super warm temperatures and old everything. This more expensive room was better but we then had the noise of the street.It is the price to pay if you want to stay in the center i guess…

Except for its staff and its central location I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The location is very central but the best thing about this hotel is the people working there; super nice, friendly, helpful, full of good advice

The NOISE! First room we had was extremely basic and like most of the rooms, it had a window giving directly on the main hall. A lot of noise (people being loud and slamming doors) from 7am! We changed the room and took an upgrade but this time the noise was coming from the street. The BEDS: so hard! After second night i blocked my back. Not only due to the beds but also because it was EXTREMELY HOT in the first room (window giving on the corridors, no fresh air at all). VERY OLD: especially our first bedroom had a lot of mold in the shower, it was black and old, i am not saying it was not clean but it was not encouraging to take a good shower
