Great location. Easy in / out (elevator just outside door). Every corner of the place was tastefully decorated. Was a joy to cook in. Had all the implements, utensils, spices etc. that you would find if at home. AC adequate. Beautiful views from expansive balcony. Only downfall is the mosquitoes out there at night which can make their way indoors.

This was a lovely property perfectly located to wander through Avignon and for our bus rides to St Remy and the Pont du Gard (both worth the trip!)The Carrefore is just up the street which had all we needed.Communications with Claudia and Georg were excellent. Clear, detailed and welcoming. The apartment itself is homely and warm with a fully stocked kitchen. Best of all though are the views from the balcony across the roof tops. At 9 each night we were treated to swarms of blackbirds playing in the wind. Loved our stay in Avignon!

Spacious apartment in a quiet section of town. Lovely penthouse terrace with terrific views of the city and mountains. Extremely well equipped. We especially appreciated the kitchen well stocked with teas, spices, paper products and more. Appreciated the smart TV and numerous tour guides. Spacious, light filled living room. Nice shower space with plenty of hot water and amenities. Plenty of storage throughout. Beds seemed a bit small and could have had normal pillowcases. Had some difficulty arriving by car due to closed roads but was a reasonable walk from street parking. A great stay.

Very comfortable, well-furnished and well-equipped apartment. Hard to imagine a better location to explore Avignon. A short walk to the train for day trips and easy walks to Avignon sites. Our host provided helpful guidance at our arrival and departure.

The apartment is ideally situated for travelers like us who do not have a car: the Pope's Palace was a pleasant walk and the train station was a 5-minute walk. The apartment had wonderful views of the neighborhood from the balcony, including the charming park right across the street. The kitchen was well-stocked. A few suggestions for improvement: although the local manager was very pleasant, she had limited English (she speaks French and Spanish) to convey practical information about the apartment; the information sheet in the apartment was very limited. For example, it would be useful to have written operating instructions for the washing machine (no dryer) and whether to separate recyclable items from trash. Also, information about local amenities, such as grocery stores, bakeries, and recommended restaurants, etc., would be helpful. However, we would happily stay there again.

Great 6th floor penthouse, lovely balcony, stunning views.Travelling to Avignon by train, we had great communication with our hosts.We arrived via taxi from the train station, and their agent was waiting to greet us.Awesome character building, cool old elevator.Clean and bright accommodation, exceptionally well stocked.Located within the walled city, it is easy walking distance to many stores, restaurants, The Halles covered market.You can even walk to the river boat cruise dock, and the Avignon bridge.We highly recommend for a true Avignon experience.

Our only suggestion is to put English operating instructions for using the dishwasher and washer/dryer in the apartment because the housekeeper does not speak English. The apartment is centrally located near many places to buy food or sweets to go, banks (ATMs), and two grocery stores. It’s a ten minute walk to Place de l’Horloge where the pretty merry-go-round is along with numerous cafes (the food at Le Cid is very good with large Portions and teasonable prices). reasonable prices.

The penthouse apartment is totally outfitted for a short or longer stay and has a lovely terrace for dining. Located a block off the Main Street and close to the tourist office, as well as Place St. Didier with numerous caffès the flat is convenient to the central train station or for exploring the town. Claudio the host is very responsive to all questions.

Wow this amazing apartment! The views are outstanding! The deck is wonderful . Bells ringing is so special to hear and right by the apartment. Kitchen is so well equipped. Mosquito netting over beds was great to have. Claudia is a great host and Isabell was a great help as well. This is well located you call walk to everything just about. So many great places to eat right around the apartment. Oh and the apartment is very comfortable! AND has elevator for travelers like us who overpacked. 😬

We just finished a 30-day stay in this comfortable, well-thought out apartment. The apartment is quiet with a great view. It is close to many restaurants in all price ranges, several grocery stores and pharmacies, and a short walk from Les Halles (farmer’s market). We loved the Vietnamese place next door and Michelin-starred L’Agape around the corner. The apartment is tastefully decorated and included the basic necessities as well as many thoughtful “extras” such as umbrellas, slippers, spices, cleaning supplies etc. Claudia and Georg were there to meet us when we checked in and stayed in touch throughout our stay. We planned Avignon as a base for touring and it is an easy walk to the train station. Oh yes, the elevator is very reliable!

We had the very good fortune to stay in Claudia’s apartment for 2 months, and we highly recommend it to anyone coming to Avignon. To begin, it is in a perfect location, walkable to all the sights, markets, restaurants, and transportation. This penthouse is centrally located but quiet – we heard not much beside the birds and children laughing in the park. The flower-filled balcony is perfect for outdoor wine or meals, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It is higher than most of the surrounding buildings, so all the views are wonderful. Claudia has thoughtfully equipped the apartment, making it comfortable and easy to cook, relax, and even work remotely. It’s beautifully decorated as well - the online pictures do not do it justice! She is a wonderful host and is very helpful and kind, sending details before our arrival, answering all our questions, and checking in with us multiple times during our stay. Her house manager is close by, and it was good to know we could contact her if necessary, too. If we have the chance to return to Avignon, we will surely look to stay at this property again. We have rented many properties in our travels, and this one (and this host) are truly special.

It is always difficult to envision how central your accommodation is in a new city until you arrive. Claudia’s penthouse apartment is brilliantly situated in the downtown area of Avignon, it is beatifully decorated and has everything for self catering, plus a great collection of Art and History books. Surrounded by some excellent restaurants and bars. We loved staying here and we were extremely comfortable and loved Avignon. A big thank you to Ysabel who met us at the apartment and help settle us in.

The apartment was wonderful. The best VRBO property we have stayed in. It is so exceptionally, clean and beautifully presented. The kitchen has all the equipment you might need. The balcony has spectacular views and is perfect for breakfast or evening meals. Claudia was a super host, so helpful with transport and check in, keeping in touch to make sure all was well, so friendly and kind. The apartment is within the old city walls but only ten min walk form the train station. Many other historical places within walking distance too. We recommend a visit to the Collection Lambert Art gallery and its restaurant. Many thanks to Claudia and Ysabel for the excellent hospitality, we look forward to returning when Avignon is European city of culture in 2025.

We loved everything about this wonderful apartment in the heart of the old city of Avignon. Appointed with all we needed for our month long stay, the top floor unit was spacious, light-filled, and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bedrooms comfortable, and the terrace looked out over the red roofs of Avignon. The location is perfect; walking distance to Avignon sites, restaurants, grocery stores, cafes, bus/train, tourist information office, and shopping. But it is also a quiet and relaxing retreat to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun set over the city. Avignon is makes for a great base to visit other towns in Provence and Cote d’ Azur. Claudia was very communicative, made sure we had all information needed before our arrival and checked in throughout our stay to ensure all was well. This delightful abode exceeded our expectations and we would definitely give it our highest recommendation.

One couldn't possibly live better than this in the old city in Avignon. The apartment is well-equipped and very comfortable. It is on the top floor of a building and is higher than anything in the vicinity, so the view is wonderful. It and has a lovely, flower-filled terrace with comfortable chairs and a table that seats four. It overlooks a little park. It is remarkably quiet -- all one hears are the birds, and children laughing as they swing on a big swing in the park. It is only a few blocks away from several grocery stores (Monoprix, Carrefour). A boulangerie is 3 minutes away, and the entire city's restaurants are within easy walking distance. Claudia is conscientious and friendly, and concerned that everything is as it should be. The one snag was getting to the apt by car. Inside the walled city, streets are very narrow and cars are heavily restricted. We had instructions from Claudia, but it took us quite a while to navigate with our GPS, since the one in our rental car hadn't registered that most of the streets in the area are one-way or blocked off. Once we figured out where to park, everything was fine: the first night we parked in the nearby underground carpark on Rue de la République. One needs to look carefully because it is very poorly signed. We paid about €16 for 24 hrs. For the rest of our stay, we parked in a free outdoor carpark about a 25-minute walk from the apartment. If I ever return to Avignon I would stay here in a heartbeat. Very highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Claudia’s apartment in historic Avignon. The apartment was perfect for two, beautifully decorated and the balcony on the top floor has a stunning view of the historic center of Avignon. Claudia was a great host. She met us at the apartment and checked with us occasionally to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The only regret I have is that we didn’t stay longer!

After a week of intense travel I arrived to this lovely apartment in beautiful Avignon! It is easy to find and close to everything. The apartment is outfitted with everything you need and is very peaceful. The balcony is even better in person. This was a perfect spot to rest and see a beautiful city. Claudia's apartment is comfortable, attractive and modern, with a balcony that looks over medieval Avignon. It's in the best location, walking distance from the Avignon Centre TGV train station, and at the foot of the walkable Republic Blvd all the way through the things people most want to see in the old walled city. The key is tricky enough to be scary, but people who get stressed less easily than me won't mind that as much as I did.
