Charme au cœur d'avignon

The host's instructions for collecting the property keys and how to find the apartment were very clear. The hosts are very kind and reply quickly and can explain everything efficiently, so everything went smoothly from the very beginning. They also give a touch of personality to the property. The entrance in the building is a bit narrow and perhaps not what is usually expected, but this is what makes it so charming. No elevator, but I had no issues with taking the stairs to 2nd floor. The apartment is located in the pedestrian area of the old town, in an excellent location close to the palace, many shops and restaurants nearby, within waking distance to the train station. I read that some earlier reviews complained about the noise outside at night given the pavement that amplifies sounds and that the walls may be a bit thin, but I was not bothered by these. I initially booked the property for a few nights, then extended my stay with another 2 nights because I enjoyed staying here and I wanted to stay in Avignon a bit longer. I could sleep well with the windows closed, I did not hear the neighbors at night or early morning. Good to keep in mind that staying in this historic area with old buildings means respecting the nighttime quiet hours. The buildings are old and resonate, so there is perhaps a bit more noise than in other places, but the hosts did everything they could for soundproofing while keeping the charm of the place. The apartment has all the amenities mentioned in the description. The kitchen was beyond expectations (I found olive oil, apple cider vinegar, several kinds of salt and herbs, nice tea, sufficient pots and pans). I knew beforehand that there was no washing machine, but I didn't need one. The entire apartment is very clean and well maintained, the wifi works very well, the shower has good pressure. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Avignon.

Very well located in the centre of the old town in a nice street. Quiet at night. Plenty of room and everything you needed.

2 flights of nano stairs to apartment. No parking(we didn't have a car.

Very clean and modern. Tastefully decorated and the kitchen was very well-equipped. Pots and pans, dishes, glassware were superb. Appreciated the nespresso cups as we Canadians enjoy our coffee! Also kind to have left the jams and lavender sachets - merci! Also great to have had extra blankets and cushions for reading. We liked the added comfort on some of the windier days. Notes were straight forward and helpful as well. Location is fantastic and central to walk everywhere in this beautiful city. Avignon is extremely walkable and it is best to be central for easy access to explore.

Only downside to staying somewhere situated so central is the street noise. We have found this in other cities in Europe as well, so it is to be expected..You know it when u book and learn to expect it. I recommend people bring earplugs. Sound bounces off the stone and echoes in the night. Even with the windows closed it could be a little noisy. We also knew here was no washing machine but there is a laundromat located 400m away kitty corner from Les Halles that we used. We hung the clothes on the drying rack. The streets are marvellous with fabulous shops and there are plentiful restaurants and cafes. The French know how to enjoy life. We found the people in Avignon exceptionally nice and friendly. We would still stay here again if we return to Avignon!
