Vatican Grand Suite

Extremely comfortable bed and superb location.

The coffee served for breakfast needs serious improvement.

This was a last minute booking having read the reviews I wasnt sure what to expect. There is no reception so when you get to the main door you need to ring the number for Vatican grand suites situated on a plague. Youll then be buzzed in and sent SMS with code for the door on first floor, your keys will be in keysafe on wall. (This info would have been useful when booking) the room itself was clean and sufficient for what we needed. Breakfast a little unconventional as you had to complete form of what you required and take pic and send to number you rang before. Breakfast then delivered to your room the next morning. It was generally Cereal, toast, croissants that type of thing. They provided tea (hate coffee) and obliged with soya milk at my request. The lady (sorry didnt get a name) was lovely - as we were leaving very early for our flight home she provided something for us to eat the night before which was appreciated. The location was great literally between 10- 15mins to Vatican city.

My only negatives were that i found the pillows a tad on the firm side but I appreciate this os personal preference and it could get noisy; from police sirens to dog barking, reversing beeps from larger vehicles but these are all beyond the apartments control. Didn't spoil what was a lovely few days in Rome

Iron gate enterance was small

Nice location, quiet and peaceful, and within walking distance to all major places in Rome.

Bathroom condition: The bathroom was cleaned, but it is very old and looks unclean. There was black mold on the walls, which made it uncomfortable to use. Check-in process: The check-in process was not clear. There is no reception, and in the morning some visitors rang the doorbell for about 20 minutes, waking up the entire hotel. At that moment, we did not know if we were supposed to help or what to do. Breakfast service: Breakfast is delivered to the room, which is a nice idea. However, the system is not clearly explained. If you do not order breakfast on time, it will not be delivered, and this was not communicated clearly. One day we did not receive the order form and thought breakfast would be prepared based on the previous order, but it was not. The hotel then suggested that we go out for breakfast and compensated us for it, which was kind of them, but it still made the experience more complicated than expected.
