The location was fantastic. We were off the beaten path enough so we had some peace and also easy access to grocery, conveniences, nightlife and sights. The space was nice for us. With the queen bed and one twin in a room together and the separate twin/daybed in the kitchen area worked well for us. The light from the side windows looking onto the canal was nice.

Being on the canal was neither here nor there. The canal was a tributary and there were more motor-boats than gondolas. Being an end unit does allow for windows on the side, so the unit didn't feel cavernous. The bathroom vanity/mirror was not well-lit. There was one towel for each person, which is below our norm. 1,284 eur for two nights was a bit much for what it is.

the location was good, close to few vaporetto stations. The owners replied quite quickly (even during the night when we had a technical problem in the apartment). Generally it could be a nice apartment, if someone rearranged it.

Overall the apartment with an untapped potential, it could use some renovation, for example the bed which stands on the flowerpots, rusty radiator, poorly equipped kitchen (lack of chopping board and strainer). Actually it looked like it was in the middle of the renovation that was stopped for a peak season. The bed was broken, there was a weird construction under the bed, so it wouldn't fully collapse (the construction was made of a pouffe??). It was fixed only because we texted the owner, so I assume no one really checks the apartment after guests? Old towels that didn't really encourage you to use them, so we recommend taking your own ones for your comfort. The canal view is amazing during the day, but at night it was quite tiring, when people partied at the boats while passing by your window and made a lot of noise. We had a technical problem with the doorbell during the night which started to ring continuously, because the wires outside the house weren't properly protected (someone came and fixed it in the morning, but to be honest I am not sure if this won't happen again, unless someone puts a proper doorbell where the wires are)
