Kazbegi cabins

The cabin had the most amazing view and is really convenient for climbing to the Gergeti church. It was cosy and comfortable with basic self-catering facilities. The restaurant next door, Maisi, was the best place we ate at in Georgia. It does serve breakfast as well as dinner though we didn’t try breakfast. Booking is advisable for dinner in the summer.

Families with children should be aware that the second bedroom is a mezzanine bedroom up a staircase that is closer to a ladder. As a result it is best suited to families with older children.

The view it’s was stunning the rooms were lovely too . The outdoor fire pit was the best

The noise from a generator or something like that near my bedroom . Also the outdoor lights couldn’t stop them shining through my bedroom window

Very sweet cabins that are tastefully decorated. Big picture windows with the most spectacular view. It is literally next door to Maisi restaurant (same owner) which has excellent food (although if you’re a very private person you have restaurant patrons walking past and very nearby and the curtains at night are translucent). Clean sheets and towels.

- Sheets and linens/towels were clean but the floors felt a bit sticky and the sofa cover looked pretty grotty. Also, I think shower curtains are never the most hygienic. - it’s small. There is no cupboard/shelves to unpack clothes into. - The stairs to the upstairs sleeping area felt a little perilous and upstairs had no railing so probably not great for very small children or anyone less mobile. - We were here in Aug 2025 at the height of summer so warm days but cool nights. You can open the windows downstairs so it gets to a comfortable temperature but the upstairs sleeping area window can’t be opened and was very hot. - Only one pillow per person and the mattress sagged into the middle.

Stunning views out over the mountains outside of the busy town centre. The host was brilliant, very kind and responsive.

Unfortunately the cabin is next to a very popular restaurant and so you are subjected to a constant stream of people staring in the windows of the cabin, smoking directly in front of it, taking photos of the cabin and generally standing around chatting. The music from the restaurant can be heard in the cabin and the noise can wake you up in the morning / keep you up at night. Much of the issue could be resolved with signage or a garden fence around the cabin to mark it as separate. Sadly though we felt we had no privacy, which was a shame when you choose such a rural location to stay. It would be nice to have outdoor seating that is distinct too - the restaurant guests sat in the chairs outside the cabins.
