Lovely welcoming pub with excellent staff and food

Ample parking, excellent spacious room, warm and welcoming on a very cold and wet day. We have stayed at this inn on many occasions and have never had any complaints. Food is always excellent with very generous portions and there is a good selection. The staff and very friendly and welcoming and go over and beyond to ensure every need is covered. We will definitely return - thank you.

Only downside steep stairs to bedroom so not suitable if have mobility issues.

Good accommodation, good breakfast (The evening meals looked nice too) and great location.

Breakfast was extra - £8.95 but for a Full English, very full indeed. That day I was hiking to Malvern (3 hours) and needed it! I've been there before. Stoke Hill is a surprisingly well set-up place even apart from the Wheatsheaf.. over the road a brilliant curryhouse, and a top-rate Outdoor / Army Surplus shop! Complete with its own T34-85 WW2 tank parked outside!

Great Friendly staff ,I arrived late in the evening and they keeped kitchen open so that I could get some food ,we're so hospitable and accommodating through put my stay.

Good value, fabulous care and staff.. worked for us

Welcoming staff we were made to feel special guests…and as a coeliac they do have a disclaimer on the bar about the kitchen being unable to promise no contamination, so I was concerned about eating there but my condition was clearly understood and I risked it… my veggie curry was delicious.

Bedroom and bathroom were a bit small they were clean though and the cost was more than reasonable.

Nice pub/hotel easy to find

Nice hotel off the main road so easy to find. Large free parking. Rooms were very spacious and nice clean sheets, good matresses and pillows. Good heavy curtains. Tea/cofee facilities in room and regularly replenished as host was happy to give extra bottled water/coffee etc. Host was very amenable to any requirements. Good hot showers.

Car park had no lights so was worried about leaving car all night in a dark car park. Close to road so traffic noise, but luckily fairly quiet after 11pm

The food was incredible, bed comfy and clean!

Few cobwebs in the room but not a big deal for the price. The sheets and bathroom were clean and that's all I care about. Definitely try the restaurant downstairs. Food was great, reasonably priced and came out so quickly!

We were experiencing a heatwave during our stay and the traffic noise did prevent us from leaving window open all night. That’s all though.

Lovely staff from the Bellamys

We stayed at the Wheatsheaf pub this weekend for one night, myself , my husband and our two daughters! The room was perfect for us, very comfy beds, en-suite with a shower, tea, coffee etc. We had dinner which was amazing, quick, hot, well presented and with a friendly face! We also had a full English fry up in the morning which was fantastic, nothing was a problem, again the food was hot and eggs cooked the right way ! Not snotty and still runny! It was loud of an evening when we went to bed. Overall we had a lovely stay and will be back! Lovely pub, lovely owners and staff!

Great start for work at a tidy and spacious hotel/pub.

It was comfortable and tidy. the room was large, they originally put me in a twin after i booked a superior double but sorted it at reception. The room space was very large which was great. The beds were comfortable

The room was spacious but there was alot of moths in the bathroom and found some also in the bedroom. There was alot of dust behind the bed on the floor and also some on the light fittings. The wifi was poor, but could be due to the area they are in. Apart from that I enjoyed the stay. The food at dinner I wasnt overly impressed with but I guess it's a pub and for the price you cant really complain. I few tweaks on how clean it is and that would level it up.

Location is easily accessible, rooms clean and comfortable, food is excellent and staff extremely accommodating and friendly. This is the second time of staying there and didn’t disappoint.

Nothing to dislike, however would point out that the stairs may be an issue for someone with mobility issues.
