Excellent English breakfast: good selection. Promptly served, we need to be away early. We ate in restaurant on the Saturday night: good selection, very good service and reasonably priced: it was near full which is always a good test of how good a place is. Heather, Chris and their team were great hosts.

The bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious, with quality fittings, bathroom tiles, oak doors...
The pub was very popular with a great mixture of adults of all ages. The dinner I had was exceptional, probably the best real homemade pie (turkey and ham) I have had at any pub, great chunks of meat and lovely gravy. The vegetable of savoy cabbage with leeks was delicious as were the thick chips, wonderful medium/dark crispy chips.
I had a full English breakfast the next day which was just as good, superb bacon, sausage, tasty mushrooms and small vine tomatoes. The food could not have been bettered.
The staff were all very friendly and sincere.
