Really nice treat to stay at Potato Head for a birthday.

Location was great. Nice change from downtown Seminyak. The staff was superb. Thank you for the birthday cake - so special. And the bar!!! Loved the room although lack of a bedside table as opposed to one behind the bed was cumbersome.

Women (only?) need hooks in the bathroom. We need to hang up our clothes which we will put on after our shower. No place to put your clean clothes except on the shelf next to the sink. Desperately need to add some hooks to the wall. Please.

Very very very bad breakfast option, for people who is a peaky eater, we have to see what we want to eat, very limited options, i was so hungry and dissapointed with this. Room view even though i got upgraded for free was mid, beach is very mid. Ants were everywhere in my room, got ick.

We came to bali for our honeymoon and this was our first hotel and it was an amazing experience unique hotel and the staff are very friendly Very recommended 🩷🩷

Pretty good

Everything was great, but I do recommend not having charge to the room facilities available as we were caught out with other guests bills twice and had to challenge the costs (which are not itemised)

Travelling with another couple, both of our rooms were separately charged with our own plus other people’s drinks and food from the pool. We tried to highlight this to the team and they took a couple of drinks off but not everything. We ended up paying about $200 more than our actual bill (our original bill for 3 hours by the pool had 19 beers, a bottle of champagne and 6 cocktails for 2 people? )Our friends paid about $80 more than their bill. I’d still go back, but would definitely pay as we ordered. No room charge

Atmosphere. It had none. Very strange, didn’t feel luxe, didn’t feel eclectic, down to earth - nothing just a strange uncomfortable vibe. Breakfast options REALLY lacking. Same for any hotel dining, just weird flavours and very limited. Pool music, sent us mad, repetitive monotonous music. Bathroom no ventilation steamy.

Hip, cool yet with service from the heart. Desa Potato Head offers a wide selection of F&B outlets.

Opted for the ocean view studio. it gave an excellent view of the beach. the hotel has direct access to the beach. breakfast is outdoors by the beach. there is a vegan option at another restaurant which is wonderful. Lots of f&b outlets. The tour of the waste management programme is well worth it. the staff were attentive.

Excellent hotel but hard to sleep due to beach club noise.

Stunning architecture and brilliant location. The food was great and the service impeccable. The cocktail bar in the room was a lovely touch and the range of activities in the hotel were excellent.

Unfortunately the noise from the beach club next door was very impactful in my sleep. Even with earplugs, the noise reverberates and the vibration of the beat can be felt in the bed and it doesn’t end until 2am. Be sure to ask for a room away from the beach club.

Excellent Stay!

Everything is amazing from start to finish. The staff are very accommodating. The breakfast is great. Beds are super comfy, and rooms are very clean. Not too many kids, which we loved. Quiet and Relaxing, but also a vibe at the Beach Club if that's what you're after. All the restaurants are amazing to eat at and the room service is great.

When i visited in 2024 you could visit the beach club and lay on the day bed for free as a guest. They changed that rule in 2025 which was a shame for us as return guests. I wish that we could have still visited the beach club for free as the fees are about $150 for a day bed now.

They do not allow a taxi to come to the lobby if you book using any app because they do have their own taxis. Book that or go to the main road and then sit on the taxi you booked online. Thats weird. Their taxi cost 800k to airport and the one you book cost you around 160k - 200k to the airport.

This was truly one of the best places I stayed at in Bali, and I would gladly return on a future trip. The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming, especially during breakfast, where they went above and beyond by offering extra treats and refreshing drinks throughout the meal. The property itself was spotless, with top-notch services that made the stay feel seamless. The food was generally very good, though I would recommend dining at the Beach Club rather than the private hotel restaurant—the Beach Club’s food was outstanding, while the hotel’s dining was less impressive by comparison. That said, the beach bar experience was absolutely incredible. The only drawback was the pool area. During midday it can be uncomfortable, as there’s little shade and the sunbeds are fixed in place, so they can’t be repositioned. Still, this was a minor issue compared to everything else. Overall, this stay was one of my best experiences in Bali.

The only downside came during checkout. I had arranged a private taxi, but the hotel does not allow outside taxis to enter the property, as they try to promote their own service—which costs seven to eight times more than a regular fare. Instead, the staff loaded our luggage onto a golf cart and transported it all the way to the entrance to meet our driver. While they were helpful, this was inconvenient, especially in the scorching midday sun, as we had to make the extra transfer just to reach our taxi. I raised the issue with management, but was told it is a strict hotel policy with no flexibility.

Nicely designed resort in a great location

I have been coming to Bali for a decade now, always enjoy the location and I have to say the resort is nicely designed with really huge attention to detail. I have especially liked the sustainability approach in the hotel, the minibar offering included was also a nice touch. As I stayed in 2 different room types, the regular room for my taste is too small and with the design of a box, you constantly run around the bed back and forth, however the ocean front suite was truly amazing. Great night sleep as well. Overall would love to stay again.

The pool area is too small for the size of the hotel and one does not expect to wait for hours to get a sunbed, even the hotel has it somewhat organized how they assign beds. Breakfast was À la carte, took quite a bit of time to get served.
