Phuc Bao Center Local Homestay - 3 mins walk to Old Town

The owners immediately offered me to leave my luggage prior to check in. The accommodation is in a practical position for everything. You can walk to the old town, there are mini markets, restaurants, coffee shops and ATM machines all nearby. There are a LOT of steps up to the rooms. On arrival I was changed to a room on the 1 st floor which I very much appreciated in am extreme heatwave as I am partially disabled. The place is clean. The bed linen was decent.The room had a fridge, a floor and wall fan and good Aircon. It is a good option if you need a budget stay. There were lovely plants outside in hanging baskets.

There were two tea cups but no kettle to make a drink. The towel was clean but had large holes in it. Not a good look. The staff were nowhere to be seen for the 3 nights I stayed there. The teenaged boys hanging out in reception couldn't help with a simple query even using a translator app. The fans are very efficient but extremely noisy. You definitely need to take ear plugs. The bed is like rock as in most places in Vietnam. I was given a room key but couldn't get the door to lock even once.
