Plenty of room. The big bathroom.

A bit too far from town, also all the stairs to climb in the house. Not enough drinking glasses, just 3 of this and 3 of that, certainly not enough for eight people. Not enough information in the house, could do with TV manuals, electrical manuals The toilet on the top floor hadn't been cleaned! Stains in the toilet and toothpaste dribbles on the floor! Not good at all. I had the back bedroom at the top of the house, and there was thick dust behind the bed...not cleaned properly! and a broken light fitting in the ceiling. Not many hand towels

The house was in a good location within walking distance of the town. The children loved the view from the windows of the marina and the passing trains, especially the steam train. The area was quiet. The house was well furnished and comfortable. The owners responded promptly to any queries we had.

Parking was problematic, particularly as it was a hot bank holiday! The kitchen would benefit from some updating.

Superb Comfort: The beds were incredibly comfy and everything was presented very cleanly. It’s a very spacious home that feels bright and airy. ​Excellent Facilities: The house is packed with great amenities. We especially loved the powerful showers and the overall high standard of cleanliness throughout the living areas. ​Stunning Views: The property offers some great views that really added to the experience. ​Perfect Location: It’s in a brilliant spot. Although there is no on-site parking, we found it very straightforward to park nearby when we arrived. ​Overall, a lovely, clean, and spacious place to stay. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a great base in the area!

​Serious Plumbing Issue: There is a major leak from the upstairs bathroom into the kitchen ceiling. Although maintenance attended, the ceiling remains waterlogged, bubbling, and stained. Most concerningly, when the upstairs shower is in use, the kitchen tap automatically runs boiling hot water, which is a significant safety hazard. ​Appliances & Electronics: The downstairs TV was non-functional (an issue we noted has been mentioned in previous reviews but remains unaddressed). Additionally, the toaster buttons were broken. ​Housekeeping Details: While the house was generally clean, we found items left behind from previous residents, including socks behind doors and a hairbrush under a table. ​Furniture Condition: There are noticeable marks and stains on much of the furniture, including the sofas and carpets, which detract from the premium feel of the property. ​Kitchen Tap: We appreciated maintenance coming to fix the detached hot water handle, but the underlying pressure/plumbing issues between the shower and the kitchen still persist.
