Fabulous quiet place, didn't want for anything, totally relaxing stay, will definitely be back. Comfy beds, well equipped, nice and light, even nicer than we expected and the hot tub ended the days great

Cosy, warm, relaxing experience

Beautiful to look at and scenery, very calm and relaxing. Large home environment- extra mile with welcome basked and logs for an open fire. Hot tub was hot and clean under the stars. We had robes, towels and clean bedding, extra throws in the lounge area.

There was nothing we didn’t like with the cottage - went above and beyond - The road leading upto the cottage is quite bumpy, but worth the travel.

The most perfect place to start the new year!

We absolutely LOVED everything about our stay. We stayed in ‘Brock Cottage’ over new year. The cottage is lovely, and immaculately clean, as is the communal areas! We absolutely loved everything about the cottage. There is a ‘guest information’ book in the lounge constaining lots of helpful information and a couple of take away menus. (The Chinese recommended in pickering is lovely!) The kitchen was fully equipped with absolutely everything we needed and more! The bread, jam, milk & water was very much appreciated! The beds were very comfortable, and the towels were lovely and fluffy! We also really liked the added touch of robes too which we used when getting in & out of the hot tub - of which was also amazing! The enclosed garden was also a great bonus & perfect for children! The host was very helpful & friendly! We can’t wait to come back!

Lovely dog friendly cottage

Fantastic location for dog walks in the countryside. Great cottage which had everything we needed, with the bonus of two bathrooms, dressing robes, and of course the hot tub!

Little things had wear and tear, but nothing major. Would suggest driving there via Pickering to avoid the sketchy roads!

Lovely rural location, cosy and peaceful!

We found the cottage very comfortable and welcoming, we loved the log burner although we found the found the extra logs that we purchased to be very expensive and burnt very quickly.

There was nothing that we didn’t like about the property.

Relaxing, peaceful stay.

This was our 4th time. We love it here. It’s very peaceful in the middle of the forest. If you need to get away from everything, this is the place to go. Our dog loves it here for the walks.

Everything, the location was peaceful and excellent for dog walking, there was everything you could have wanted in the kitchen, including bread, milk, butter, jam and even treats for the dogs and the whole house was extremely comfortable and well thought out

Great getaway in the Yorkshire Moors

Lovely little farmhouse tucked away in the woods with a hot tub. Great base to explore the north Yorkshire moors from.

Lovely cottage with everything you need. Very clean & cosy. We liked having nice walks so close to the cottage. Our dog certainly loved it!

Fabulous North Yorkshire find!

An amazing cottage, so well equipped. Yes, it's remote, but that only makes it even more special. The hosts were super friendly and helpful and had thought of everything from the hot tub being ready to jump straight into, to tea, coffee, milk etc being left for us. 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms so for a group of ladies this was perfect for us. We've already booked to go back! If you need a taxi whilst here we highly recommend Chris from Call a Car. Brilliant stay x

Beatiful cottage will definitely re book

The cottage is beautiful, with fantastic views, spotlessly clean very comfy beds slept really well. Also the bread,milk, butter coffee and jam left for us very welcome. Will definitely re book.

When looking for places to stay in Pickering on booking. Com the right up at the side of the picture reads both bedrooms en suit, the cottage only has one bathroom not en suite, although that really didn't spoil our stay it is a little misleading. Also no oven gloves or tea towel even for self catering this is unusual.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location.

We stayed in the old farmhouse. The photographs we had seen beforehand did not do it justice. It was beautiful, very private, clean and comfortable in an absolutely stunning location. There was a huge grassy area where our son could play, which was overlooked by the house. It felt very safe. Apart from the wildlife in the forest it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. We saw deer, rabbits, lots of birds and at night we could hear owls.

The only issue we had was that the shower was a bit temperamental.

Mostly everything, views around area and from cottage spectacular, staff lovely, home from home but better as we onluy have one bathroom there we had 3 😁, no waiting yeah. Location great .love the meadow and hottub and walks x

Cottage in certain places needed refreshing ,insects blinds and above window down a bit damp ,furniture in bedroom needs touch up ,but didn't spoil our holiday at all, we had a fabulous, relaxing time thankyou .

Great cottage and location to walk in nature

Very spacious, gorgeous surroundings and we loved the fact it had a functional kitchen for cooking meals. Free wifi and firestick was appreciated by the kids. It was clean with plenty of towels, robes and blankets to keep us comfortable. We also had complimentary hand wash, washing up liquid , cooking foil and cleaning spray to use.

The back door was stiff to lock.

Remote, peaceful, stunning scenery and amazing cottages.

Stayed in The Old Farmhouse. It was cosy, well equipped, and very private. Loved spending time in the outdoor space. Hot tub was a treat. We loved the remoteness, even thoroughly enjoyed driving through the single track roads through such beautiful scenery. Had no trouble finding it due to the excellent instructions.

Slight confusion on arrival as nobody was there to welcome us. I knew we were staying in a 3 bed property, so after checking the web site, thought it was a different cottage. Sorted in the end..but please inform guests in your pre-arrival pack, the name of their booked accommodation, and maybe update the website. But all worth it in the end as I would choose The Old Farmhouse again for its privacy.

Lovely relaxing stay. Loved the hot tub.

Self catering. Very long winding road. This made the property very private, peaceful and secluded. Our cockapoo loved the private garden, he could go out safely whenever he wanted unsupervised.

We had an amazing stay here. Lovely and peaceful, we really relaxed. The hot tub was amazing and we had some lovely walks with the dog. We would definitely visit again
