MB Camp Singkil

Only stayed one night on our way to the banyak islands and was about 30 minute drive to the boat launch spot for the personal speed boat to the islands. The staff helped arrange the ride and made it very easy. Property itself right on beautiful mangrove river with fishermen boating up and down. Property was well kept and facilities were clean and nice. Very hot shower and very cold ac and fan in the room which was very nice. No mosquitoes inside and not many outside. The town it is near didn’t seem like it had much to offer for travelers and seems like just a stopping in place en route to get to the ocean islands. Breakfast was super simple and on par with other Sumatran breakfasts but good enough and very cheap

Nothing other than that the location don’t have anything walkable to go to

Die Unterkunft und das Essen ist sensationell und eine Erholung nach einer langen Anreise oder dem Standard auf den Inseln. Besonders bedanken möchte ich mich bei Claudine, die für uns alle Transporte von Banda Aceh über Blangpidie Singkil, speedboat nach Sikandang und zurück, weiter nach Berastagi und Bukit Lawang für 2 Familien mit 8 Personen, mit erstklassigen Fahrern, die englisch sprachen organisiert hat. Schade dass wir sie nicht getroffen haben. Die Unterkunft und das Organisationstalent von Claudine sind auf einem anderen Level in diesem wunderschönen Land. Danke!

Your best option for an overnight on the way to Banyak's. Peaceful location. Comfortable bedding.

Food options are very limited, especially if you have dietary restrictions which are tighter then just "vegetarian" + portions aren't big either... This is a general comment valid for Banyak's too, that's the trade-off for experiencing the island life I guess... Although it would be possible to have both but all must be arranged through locals then (which isn't planned that easy on your 1st visit...).
