Matraville Home Stay Tuk Tuk Lake Toba Samosir

We had a great stay at Matraville Homestay Tuk Tuk Lake Toba. The hotel is in a great location. It is about 1 minute from the lake which you can access directly from the property. There are even two paddle boards that are free to use. TaTaring Coffee & Resto and Restaurant Lasterjonny’s are the closest restaurants and are only a short walk away. They are probably the best restaurants in the area with great western and local food, cheap beer and plenty of backpackers and western travellers. We stayed in the penthouse suite which was a lovely room. The room was huge and even had a separate kitchenette. The balcony had good views over the lake. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice hot shower. Dimmer was a wonderful host. He picked us up and dropped us at the pier and even said that he would pick us up anytime if we were out and it started raining. We would definitely recommend the Matraville Homestay Tuk Tuk Lake Toba.

Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad bij Matraville! Eigenaar kwam ons halen vanaf de haven. Heeft een kleine citytour gedaan door het centrum van Tuktuk met wat aanbevelingen. De hotelkamer was schoon, voorzien van een minibar, warme douche en goede bedden. Leuk uitzicht over het meer. Eigenaar is betrokken en enthousiast. Hebben ook een dagje een scooter gehuurd voor een goede prijs.

The owner Dim was sooo awesome. Picked us up and dropped us back to the ferry. Had scooters for hire. Gave suggestions of places to go and things to do and happy to help organise anything. Went over the top to please. Location was awesome. Could walk down ans sit at the lake and watch all the antics. We booked one night and stayed three. Planned on staying there another couple but the call of the jungle was too much and we headed off early to fit in bukit lawang.

Nothing! There was one slight downside and that was there were a few stairs to walk down but it was worth it for the location.

Der Besitzer hat uns direkt am Hafen Sosor Galung mit seinem grossen Auto abgeholt. Er hat uns gefragt, ob er direkt zur Unterkunft fahren soll, oder ob wir entlang der Küste von Tuk Tuk fahren und uns noch das eine oder andere erklären soll. Wir entschieden uns natürlich für letzteres. Bei der Reservation haben wir angefragt, ob wir ein Zimmer zur Seeseite haben können. Glücklicherweise haben wir ein solches Zimmer erhalten, denn damit hat man freien Zugang zum See und braucht keine Strasse zu überqueren. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber die angepriesene heisse Dusche hatte auch wirklich heisses Wasser. Auf Fragen hat der Besitzer entweder vor Ort oder per WhatsApp umgehend geantwortet. Wir haben vom Besitzer auch einen Scooter gemietet. Er hat mehrere Scooter in einwandfreiem Zustand zu vermieten. Alles in allem waren wir mit der Unterkunft sehr zufrieden!
