EVERYTHING! We cannot recommend this place highly enough, and it is well worth booking ahead to secure your stay. The location is absolutely beautiful. If you need somewhere to switch off and recharge, this is exactly where to go. The scenery is breathtaking, the valley itself is stunning, and there are excellent wine farms and lovely places to eat nearby. Hermanus is also close enough for anything else you may need. Everyone we came into contact with was genuine and welcoming. Communication before and during our stay was warm and personal, nothing was too much trouble, and their local knowledge and recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to try were spot on. We loved wandering around the farm, seeing the horses, and simply taking in the surroundings. For anyone who enjoys mountain biking, there is also direct access to the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley trails. It feels like a genuine escape without sacrificing comfort. Everything about the experience encouraged us to slow down and relax, and we were already planning our next visit before we left. It is the perfect place for a true getaway.

These are really only points to note, rather than criticisms. They are simply intended to help set expectations for future guests. None of it affected how much we enjoyed our stay or how highly we would recommend the property. We stayed in the cottages, not the cabins which have bigger space and are totally secluded. The kitchenette is ideal for making tea, coffee, breakfast, and simple snacks, but it is not really equipped for preparing more substantial meals or fresh salads from scratch. If you are planning to eat in, the braai is fabulous, but preparation space is limited and the stoep is small, so it is probably best to buy ready-made salads, bread, or side dishes rather than ingredients that need much preparation. The cottages are close to the main house and, particularly in the cottage we stayed in, the proximity and comings and goings could affect the sense of privacy a little. The hot tubs are also a short walk away rather than directly outside, which may add to that feeling. The mattress in our cottage was a little lumpier than we found comfortable, but it certainly was not a dealbreaker. A simple mattress topper would probably make all the difference.

The view was from another world, the cabbin was very cozy and comfortable with nice fire place for inside comfort and hottub outside to enjoy the Amazing views over stud farm and sea view in distance! Amazing Amazing!!!!!
