Royal Marmin Bay Boutique & Art Hotel

I had a great solo stay at Royal Marmin Bay. Easily, the best feature of the hotel is the beach equipped with beach chairs & umbrellas, water sports, food and bar. The hotel has a great morning buffet, though I didn't have a chance to explore the on-site restaurants (they had been booked up for dinner both nights). The hotel is about a 20min walk from the town square with many food, drink, and tourist options. Aside from the drivers who shuttle you up and down the hill that the hotel sits on, a lot of the staff is lackadaisical. They didn't follow up on requests, though they did a great job of setting up my departure cab and providing me a breakfast box to go. I would be back!

Every thing was good to very good except our bathroom of room 31. We always had water on the floor no matter what time, and it smelled like urine all the time.

This hotel was one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in and we travel a lot. The views were just gorgeous. It was punched high on a hill over looking a bay. We can't enough praises about the staff. They were there for us all the time. It was so beautiful there. The food was delicious with the best buffets. The private beach was lovely. The had glass elevators with views and golf carts at your disposal at any time. The pool was amazing. We got kayaks at the beach. That was so much fun. Our room was very private and quiet. This place is one in a million!

We stayed for 7 night. The location and the hotel are amazing. We were happy to stay in a room near the beach, as this saved us from having to walk in the heat every day. However, the room facilities were a letdown. Upon check-in, we were provided only four coffee capsules and one bottle of water. In many other resorts I've stayed at, these items are replenished daily. Imagine being in the heat and running out of water. I called the receptionist the following day to request more coffee and water, as they hadn’t been restocked after cleaning the room. Room service took ages, and when someone finally arrived, he seemed displeased with my request for some reason. Had I known the policy upfront, I wouldn't have asked. At the end I still need to pay for those in our bills Additionally, the room cleaner knocked on our door very early the next morning after we arrived, wanting to clean the room. They hadn’t explained how to activate the electronic "Do Not Disturb" sign. We figured it out the next day, but the cleaner still wanted to enter while we were there, so we had to rush to get ready and leave the room in under three minutes.
