The staff were really welcoming.
This hotel does not offer room service nor service from the downstairs bar. Instead, they contracted a nearby restaurant and stick menus in your room to order from. They do bring it to your door but not without the extra taxes and fees attached. Also, the value of the food verses the cost was extreme. Also, you are forced to pay a $25 resort fee, which can be used at the bar downstairs or the convenience store on your way out.

Suites perfect for family of 4 with dogs. Easy going dog policy and placing us close to a floor level spot they could easily go to bathroom was really nice
Also having access to sister hotel (grand pacific) was nice as well as they had a kid pool, arcade, playground and rec center that loaned play equipment
Sad we didn’t get to use the e bikes that were first hour ride included. Next time.
The bathroom sliding door between toilet/shower area did not close all the way(pocket door) and the phone to the front desk and kitchen did not work

We wrote to the accommodation facility in advance and asked for an extra bed. They never provided it to us.
And they didn’t respond to the message, although the reception told us that they would solve everything.
Check in time was at 4:00pm but we waited until 5:00pm to get a room, disgusting service.

I loved the bacon and toast, the women servers were very pleasant on Tuesday morning but no bacon. The male servers on Monday morning were rude and clearly annoyed with their job to provide positive customer experience services.
Bacon should be served everyday, coffee should be readily available and not run out before 10am. Grumpy server that made it clear I was an inconvenience. I didn't like on Monday the fact that there was a line of us guests waiting for plates and utensils. Breakfast for two people should cost $25, not each person or plate cost $25, especially for processed garbage sausage patties, cold potatoes, and powdered eggs.

If you’re going to Legoland this is an ideal spot. Room was big and spacious but equally we paid for that.
Buffet options were a joke, was $28 for dried up scramble egg, vegan sausage, cold potatoes and stale bread/waffles. We also ordered room service which had a 16% surcharge on it that came with no cutlery and when asked where the cutlery was they didn’t care. I then had to go down to the restaurant to get some which they didn’t want to hand out so they he room charge surcharge should have been removed but they didn’t agree.

Staff is as always awesome. Third time I've stayed here and never disappoints. Service is great. Rooms were nice.
The bed was not so.comfortable during this trip. The last few times was good but this trip the bed and pillows were uncomfortable.

There was a problem with inventory when we checked in. I had reserved a premium King with balcony. They didn’t have it so got an upgrade to a suite which was nice. Just wish it had a balcony and not faced a parking lot. But nice to have the extra space. The cabanas were first come first serve and free. Nice to sit and watch the sunset. The kids pool and splash area was great. Loved having the activities center and arcade. If you’re going to Legoland the location is ideal.
The fragrance in the lobby was so off putting. Very strong. I wished there was an actual restaurant. The dining is small and in the lobby. Trying to get breakfast in the morning was a cluster. So many people and kids overwhelming the space. They don’t do room service unless you order from Karl Strauss. The menu you get when you scan the QR code in the room was not the menu they had in the restaurant. The soap/shampoo/body wash in the bathroom is also very strong. Rosemary isn’t my favorite but I would have preferred something more neutral.

I loved everything about this hotel. My husband and I went to Carlsbad for a wedding, but were delighted to learn we were right next to Legoland. However, it didn't feel TOO touristy or loud or annoying. It was fabulous. Family-friendly without it being obnoxious. The hotel was comfortable, and had something for everyone - a separate pool for families and a nice lap pool for the singles. I'm actually looking forward to coming back with our own kids! I was very surprised because the price is manageable and the facilities very well maintained and comfortable.
I wish there was room service for breakfast! That is my only complaint. They have it for lunch/dinner but I was really looking forward to breakfast in bed, but alas!

During our check in, we had an issue with the room not being clean. Called up the front desk and took care of the issue right away. Love that they are super dog friendly. First time traveling with a newborn and a puppy which was a really great experience. The scenery is absolutely beautiful.
The coffee machine doesn't have the option to just warm up water but you have the option to use the microwave at the lobby store . Also the room we got had a small bearable smell, however we just opened the slide doors and went away.

Location was perfect for the Flower Fields & Legoland.
We expected our room to be tidied up each day. It was not unless you requested it when checking in. Disappointed.

Food was tasty and ample...
Bar service was very slow. Bar and dining area filled with noisy and often out of control kids at breakfast and dinner times. They shouldn't be allowed in bar and dining area while parents check in to hotel, or return from a full day of activities, bouncing off the walls. Completely spoils any ambience . Snack section was way over priced, with an abysmal selection of food and drink. Worst of any hotel I've ever stayed in.

Personal items dissappear here quickly. Last year we left our kid’s shoes at the pool. The next day we asked the staff, but they said nothing was left in Lost and Stolen. This was okay for us, I thought okay it’s the next day, and everything could happen. We did not even complain, not a big deal. This year we are back to this hotel. We left a T-shirt at the main pool, right in front of the lobby. We were back for the tshirt an hour later, asked the front desk but again nothing was in Lost and Stolen. Also, there were not many people in the hotel and I don’t think somebody was in need of a tshirt, haha. But whoever is cleaning up in the pool, just does not care enough of the personal items of the hotel guests to return them to the appropriate department. But the big deal is that the front desk does not care, it’s okay for them that things like this happen. Obviously, whoever from the staff is cleaning up at the pool, is either throwing personal items away or keeping them.
Change your staff or train them appropriately. It’s way more unpleasant when same thing happens during you next visit a year later.

That it was very close to Legoland.
It was in a business area. Our room balcony faced the entrance to the hotel. It was near an airport so it was very noisy at times. We were forced to keep the patio door closed because of all the noise. Room service skipped us and didn’t clean the room (after that we hung the do not disturb sign). They didn’t show up until the second day, and kept knocking while the do not disturb sign was hanging on the door.

I flew in with my daughter for the weekend for a day trip to Legoland and stayed at this hotel from Friday through Sunday morning. The hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and in a great location. I only stayed 2 nights but this will be my first choice when we come back for a longer vacation.

Hotel was beautiful. Kitchen/dining area small and extremely busy. Waited 15 mins just to order coffee and even before ordering, multiple servers kept telling me someone would be right with me without even asking if I was helped yet.

The location was fantastic, walking distance to many places.
There was a “rust” stain at the bottom of our toilet… it would not go away. People do not want to see that every time they use restroom. Change the toilet. It’s was a great room with balcony, other than that.

The price to park my car each day, and so many fees! Wow!

Location when going to Legoland is prime. It’s a short 5 minute walk from the park. They have a nice family pool, activity center and staff were nice.
The rooms were old. We had two rooms booked and both rooms had the sticky feeling carpet. So I’m assuming it’s just really old carpet that needs a good cleaning. The AC works but is so stuffy. Like filters need to be replaced or something. Everyone had stuffy nose at night that goes away when we leave the room. The rooms need a lot of TLC.

The hotel sits directly above the flower fields, so our views were amazing. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Safe parking. Nice staff!
The hotel, in general, is nice but shows its age and some wear despite a recent-ish styling upgrade.
The hotel's placement makes the freeway noise a big factor, and it's always loudly present if you open a window to enjoy the sea breeze or views. To top it off, the ancient AC in our room was so loud that it made it difficult to have a normal conversation and went on and off all night waking us up several times.
Their pool and surrounding area were also nice but very crowded, so the pool, jacuzzi, and fire pits are at a premium. There is no pool attendent, so used towels are abundant and everywhere.

Location was close enough to Legoland to walk to it. But the map the hotel gave us is not to scale. You really do have to walk at least 1/4 mile to get to the Legoland hotesl parking lot.
The room was adequate. 4 Queen size feather down pillows on the bed for a king bed. Th eblackout windows do work.
I did like the hand/body lotion, the shampoo and conditioner, nice natural scent. This hotel is trying to be more eco-friendly by not having plastic containers like mini shampoo, soap, etc. Room came with small refrigerator which is needed for all the water you need as you use the air conditioner, you get real thirsty.
There is a pool to swim in, its called a quiet pool. We did not use the pool.
The check in was somewhat easy, except for the confusion on my last name. When we checked in, the employee tried to add me to Hilton Honors, but there was some problem with their system. It said my name was already listed. It is very easy to have the same first, last name. I said that is not me, I am a native Californian. I even presented my driver's license. He had the issue of trying to enter my name/address...
The accommodations were OK, the bed was horrible. Thin mattress made for uncomfortable evening to sleeep. Plus, queen feather pillows really don't work for a good night's sleep.
Why not have a separate light switch for the shower/tub and the bright big mirror? When you wake up early in the morning, the frosted glass on the bathroom door does shine very bright... waking up the other person in the room. Too bright if you ask me.
When you close the curtains, and the room is pitch black and you need the bathroom, you will stumble because there is no nightlight to get you to the bathroom. I had to use my cell phone as a flashlight. Very dangerous, especially for kids. One could fall down. I found myself taking tiny steps back to the bed, hoping I was not going to hit a door, a chair, table.
A very small gift shop... more like a kiosk, where no one is assigned it to. You have to pay for it at the front desk. This does not make sense. If you are close to an amusement park, why not have concessions, gifts for your customers to buy as mementos.
Starbucks/Bar really does not work. If I want to go to starbucks and stand in line there, I will do that. This combo does not work. No one to tell you that you need to stand in line at the bar, to place your food order. What's that all about?
Then wait to see if the servers bring your food to you. I watched servers ask each table that had people sitting at it if these plates were their orders... not organized, not properly staffed. Not much to choose from on the menu.
When we checked out, I reviewed my bill... what exactly is with all the fees? I understand the local and city taxes, but assorted fees? Are they really essential, needed? Probably not. Most reviews say it is ridiculous to have that fee there.

Mudslide drinks at the lobby bar were incredible. All the conveniences you could need at an affordable price. So hard to find these days!!
A ton of fees. Things Ive never heard of. Urban experience fee..this fee, that fee...kind of crazy that allowed.

Very comfortable room and good customer service.
Let down by charging for parking.
Disappointed after checking out and looking at my bill to find I had been charged for parking.
Not good attention to detail as I did not have a car.
No-one had asked or checked.

The pool was nice. The room was clean and in good condition.
Getting upcharged for things like parking and "activities," whatever that means. Being forced to turn over private information and data access and join the Hilton cult in order to access free wifi and then the signal was poor after all that. The restaurant was kind of mind-bogglingly disorganized. HVAC was really loud and woke me up several times a night.
