The host is friendly and helpful and the location is good, but the property is not up to standard.
The location was good, there was a TV with netflix and wifi. Getting the key was easy and it was in a good location for getting in and out of Edinburgh. Vacuum was provided. The heating worked well.
The place smelled damp, there was mold in the bath room and all around the bed. The towels and bedding had not been aired properly and smelled damp. The property was advertised with parking, but the parking was a 5 minute walk from the house on the side of a random street - and it was only if you're lucky enough to get a space. We ended up having to pay to park each night at the carnegie museum. However, The street is very tight and double yellowed, so loading and unloading was a squeeze. The provided vacuum was required to clean the floor, which did not seem to be vacuumed properly. There was no sheet for the sofa bed, which was covered in stains. Thankfully my wife had the forsight to bring 2 sets of bedding. The matress on the main bed was awful so we ended up sleeping on the sofa bed. However, we wouldn't have slept there due to the mold as our daughter has asthma. Quiet hours were provided, but the neighbours were drilling and making noises (not their fault but the walls/floors are very thin). There was no milk to make tea - not even sachets. There was no towels, to dry the dishes that all needed washing as they were covered in dust. There were some dish clothes but they smelled worse than the towels. Overall would not recommend.

Parking tight and a bit far to walk with luggage

Nice place to stay .
The flat was clean and tidy. The owner was very helpful , especially when we relised we had lost the key late at night it's a very nice size and comfortable
The fact it said parking and they is no parking outside . There is a car park 8 minutes walk away that you can pay for. Some nets up at the front room that you can pull over would be great as it's right on the path and people can see in .

would not choose again
Great location - just near the Glen and a quick (but hilly) walk up into town.
Only passingly clean - it was tired and old - only the small shower head worked, not the big one. the bed was very old and soft. Also no milk or even sachets of milk for a cuppa and the cups in the cupboard were filthy and needed cleaning before use!

racism
They kicked me out on the street for being a foreigner and not speaking English. There's a big problem with racism.

The flat is ideally located; however, there were some issues (see comment above) that are easily fixable and would make
Good location for exploring Dunfermline. Washing machine.
The bathroom could use a good scrub. There was a dirty cleaning cloth left in the bathroom sink. Other people’s leftover toiletries are not appealing. Light switch in kitchen was clipped every time when closing the fridge door (which opens opposite to cupboards) and turned off light. There were no sharp food prep knives at all. Kind of fundamental for kitchens.

good for one or two nights
The apartment is good if you stay one or two nights. Well located near the city centre of Dunfermline (small town with a lot of story and important buildings) and also close to bus and train station that takes you to Edinburgh centre
Was not clean enough and when you turn on the light in the bathroom, the air extractor made a terrible noise, really annoying.
